Begin the track with a rocket start and head straight to the first turn. As you approach the first turn, start drifting to the left, holding it all the way around the bend. Release the drift for a Mini-Turbo boost as soon as the track starts turning to the right.
Drift slightly to the right to go across the log in front of you. Try to go over the exact spot where there is a coin. Hop as you go over the log for a Mini-Turbo boost.
Keep driving straight and go just slightly to the right of the dinosaur’s feet. When you enter the cave, immediately start drifting to the right. When you see sparks from your tires, release the drift and begin drifting to the left. Hold this drift for just a second and begin drifting to the right as you come out of the cave.
Take the lowest bridge just ahead of you as you come out of the cave. You’ll need to turn to the right in order to see it. Keep moving forward and drive over the dash panels ahead of you.
As you approach the turn ahead, start drifting to the right. Hold this drift until you reach the top of the wooden platforms.
Start drifting and collect any coins you are able to as you enter the enclosed area. When you enter the large open cavern, take a sharp turn to the right. Release the drift when you are lined up with the glide panel, then use one of your Mushrooms to speed across the mud. Remember to hop as you go across the glide panel for an extra speed boost.
When landing from your glide, start turning right so that you can hit the next glide panel. When gliding here, try to fly underneath the dinosaur’s neck to save a little time.
After passing the dinosaur, keep driving down the track until the next turn. Begin a drift to the left just after you drop down slightly from a wooden platform. Release the drift for a Mini-Turbo boost. Keep hopping as you drop down each level for an extra speed boost.
Be careful to avoid the geysers ahead. However, do drive over one of the small bumps in the ground; if you hop as you go over one, you get a Mini-Turbo boost.
Tactics for Laps 2 and 3
Use the same basic tactics to complete the remaining laps. Avoid the dinosaur’s head and legs, and keep an eye on those geysers!
