If the main track is crowded at the beginning, you can drive onto the blue section of the raised track just to the right of the first bend. This section of the track is also great for avoiding Bananas that may be on the main track.
As you go along the blue section of track, collect all the coins. At the end of the blue section of track, there are two item boxes; be sure to grab one before dropping back down onto the main track.
After coming out of the tunnel, you’ll see another blue section of track to the right. Feel free to take this route if the main raceway is too crowded or if there are Bananas to avoid!
As you finish your first lap, you may see the Luigi hot-air balloon swooping down toward the track. There may be a bonus item box hanging from the bottom of it, so make sure to grab it if you come across it.
