Batman succeeds, in part, due to his preparation and his resourcefulness. You almost always have the right tool for the job right there on Batman’s belt, unless you just haven’t acquired a particular Gadget yet. For example, you’ll probably start to see terminals begging to be hacked before you actually acquire the Remote Hacking Device. Make note of puzzles and places to which you need to return with a new gadget or solution.
When hidden from foes, or at least not directly engaged with them, you can use Batman’s Gadgets through careful aim. When facing off with several foes in a fistfight, there usually isn’t time. Here, Quickfire functions are very useful. These commands allow you to snap-fire a particular Gadget, without having to specifically equip and aim that Gadget first. Using them successfully affords a big advantage in combat scenarios, widening your options against varied gangs of thugs. You’ll also benefit from increased combat scores—thus more WayneTech XP—thanks to increased variety. A Quickfired Gadget that hits keeps your FreeFlow Combo going as long as you attack quickly afterward.
