Lamb to the Slaughter

Reporter Jack Ryder hangs out in the Interview Room at GCPD, between maximum security and the holding cells. He can be visited at any time, though he doesn’t offer anything really helpful. He is the answer to a riddle though. During Chapter 9, he follows a lead to Lady of Gotham, a small island west of GCPD, and hasn’t been heard from since. It is up to Batman to head over there and see what kind of trouble the journalist has gotten into.

Investigate the Lady of Gotham

On the island, Deacon Blackfire oversees a meeting of his followers with Jack Ryder bound in a cage. Land on a beam on the south side or atop the statue. Equip the Disruptor and sabotage the two weapons crates. Glide onto the cage to confront the cult leader, as he calls on his worshippers to defend against the Dark Knight.

A timer counts down three minutes. You must defeat all 25 thugs and take down Blackfire within this time or Ryder is dead. Be ready with the counter. With that many brawlers, there is usually an attack coming. Watch out for the blade attacks, otherwise weapons are limited to those in the weapons crates. With the followers knocked out, use the Remote Electrical Charge to shut down the four generators. Now you can grapple to one of the hatches on the front of the cage to apprehend Deacon Blackfire.
