When confronted with a puzzle or surrounded by foes, Detective Mode can be vital. This enhanced vision mode, activated by tapping Up on the D-Pad, uses Batman’s sophisticated suit to detect many more parts of the light spectrum, revealing much information that’s hidden from unassisted human eyes. Nearby people can be viewed through solid walls, electric lines and circuit pathways can be traced, and mission-critical devices are highlighted. Eventually, some foes deploy their own anti-Detective Mode countermeasures, but for most of the adventure this vision mode is one of the most powerful tools Batman has over his opposition. If you’re ever in doubt where to go or what to do, be sure to scour suspect terrain with Detective Mode.
