The ending of Batman: Arkham City saw the death of Gotham’s most fearsome villain, Joker—taken down by the Dark Knight himself. Bracing for a power struggle within Gotham, the GCPD prepared for the worst, but over the next nine months they saw a drop in crime. In Gotham City, though, that can’t last forever…
Batman: Arkham Knight is the conclusive third game in Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham series. The blockbuster games have revolutionized the action-adventure genre with expansive exploration, fluid FreeFlow Combat, and mind-boggling puzzles. The finale steps it up once again with an even bigger world, improved methods for disposing of thugs, more side missions, and the Batmobile. This mode of transportation is brand new to the series, allowing Batman to quickly move around the islands and providing a way to launch even higher into the air. It also becomes a necessity as tanks are sent in to take down the Dark Knight.
The Story Mode chapter covers everything you need to defeat Batman’s new nemesis, the Arkham Knight, and complete the campaign. Full details on the collectibles and side missions can be found in the Collectibles and Most Wantedchapters.
This is How it Happened
After Officer Owens places his order at Pauli’s Diner, investigate the mysterious man in the corner to set off the evening’s events. Shots can be fired once you gain control of the policeman, but it is not necessary. The only difference comes later in the game as a small amount of dialog is changed.
