From the heist-related side mission comes this heist-related challenge. Twenty of Two Face’s armed goons are trying to sack the bank branch on Bleake Island. Your goal is to knock out enough of them to end the heist. Each time you take one out, another appears. You’ll have to dispatch 10 of the thieves before they call it off, and you’ll have about five and a half minutes to accomplish this. While you can take your time, the goals are pointed toward speed.

Gun-toting robbers pour in from a garbage truck they’ve reappropriated.

The bank’s layout allows for many different approaches.

The bank is basically rectangular, with the thieves’ truck and the bank’s vault situated at opposing corners. The vault is their primary target, but the thieves also ransack a couple offices in the middle of the rectangle.

When striking from above, there are plenty of perches above the bank’s main floor, along with the roof of the enclosed offices in the center. Takedowns can be used from perches on foes walking underneath, and Glide Kicks can be initiated from anywhere. To come up from below you can move very quickly in ducts underneath the entire length of the bank’s floor, even into the vault itself. Running silently under the floor, you can sometimes find loners or small groups briefly separated from view from other thieves. On loners, start a Silent Takedown then just finish it fast with a Knockout Smash ender—the bank alarm is blaring, so sound doesn’t matter like it normally does. You’re mostly worried about line of sight here. Catch a small group separated, and a Fear Multi-Takedown can quickly eliminate them all. After any Takedowns, quickly return to changing perches above or prowling ducts below, looking for more chances to pick the invaders off. Watch out if you’re spotted—enemies will track above with their guns, or drop searing grenades into grates below.

Gadgets here can give you a big advantage.

Catch groups separated from each other, dispatch them fast, then return to cover.

Several features of the bank floor are worth noting. Using the Remote Hacking Device, you can close a gate near the robbers’ truck, briefly halting anyone returning from the vault with loot until they get it back open. You can use this to create a bottleneck, ideally setting up a Fear Multi-Takedown x5 (if you’ve unlocked it). In a side office across the hall from the truck and gate, you’ll find a Dye Pack Deterrent panel that can be hacked with the RHD to disperse a choking cloud over any foes nearby. Finally, and most worth noting, there’s a shock-panel security floor near the vault itself that can be triggered with the RHD, instantly incapacitating anyone standing on it. This can be three or four knockouts at once, if you time it right. You can set traps of your own as well, using Explosive Gel on the weak walls of the offices. And if you have the Disruptor Gadget and anti-weapon upgrades for it, you can booby-trap some of the guards’ guns. Disrupt the gun of a robber that you don’t have an easy angle on, so if he spots you taking down an easier mark, he’ll take himself out by opening fire.
