These robot henchmen give Riddler a large supply of foot soldiers. You run into them around some of Riddler’s trophies, and during some events in story and side missions. When you find a robot around a trophy puzzle, they’re usually integral to its solution. Interacting with robots to solve these puzzles usually requires that you’ve earned the right Gadget, like the Voice Synthesizer or Remote Hacking Device. While Riddler robots are definitely hostile, and attack if they see Batman, you can often find ways to trick them into helping you. During these puzzles, if you accidentally destroy a robot helper, you find a Batarang-activated switch in the area that restores the Riddler robot to working order for another try. If you can’t seem to figure out a robot puzzle, make note of where it is and come back later when you’ve expanded Batman’s options through story progress.
