This combat challenge is about maximizing score. Right off the bat, the enemy force is more formidable than in the previous combat challenge, since there are a half-dozen enemies at once, some with bats. After a couple waves of standard enemies, a hulking Brute enemy appears alongside two knife-wielders. You can’t take either type of foe head-on, and your normal Counters won’t hurt them either. You can bypass their defenses by Redirecting over their heads and attacking from behind, or with a Cape Stun into Beat Down finisher. It’s hard to pull off a full Beat Down sequence in a crowd, so you may have to circle the heavier enemies at first, taking out the normal thugs. If you have a Special Combo Takedown built up, you can also spend it taking out one of these advanced enemies in one move. Once you unlock the Blade Dodge Takedown upgrade, the knife-wielders are also easily dispatched, provided you have a little bit of timing skill.

The danger up here on the roof of a Wayne tower comes from enemy tacklers, knife-users, and Brutes.

When you clear all the thugs up here, including the Brute boss and his blade henchmen, you’ll clear the challenge. Your goal is a high score, which you’ll get in combat scenarios by avoiding all incoming hits, keeping a Combo going the whole time, and varying your Combo actions. Little things add up, especially as your Combo count increases; Throw Counters are worth double normal Counters, and ditto perfectly timed Critical Strikes over normal Strikes. It’s worthwhile, as your multiplier increases mid-Combo, to try to mix in higher-value actions like Aerial Attacks, Beat Downs, and Ground Takedowns, if you can squeeze them off without getting hit.

Be ready to drop everything to Counter-Dodge or Evade against an incoming blade swipe.

With the Blade Dodge Takedown upgrade, you can start treating blade swipes as instant K.O.s
