There are a few things to do before setting off through this dense, dangerous part of the world. Start by hacking down the brambles blocking your path ahead, then take your blade to the thorns on the right, near the towering stone pillar. There’s a Resurrection Phial in the chest beyond.
As the rain begins to fall, your peaceful jaunt is interrupted by the arrival of a Rock Troll. Its projectiles are much tougher to dodge that those of its Earth Troll counterpart—and its a hardier beast all around, rarely pausing to provide a convenient window of attack.
Nevertheless, your strategy should remain the same. Dodge out of harm’s way—the Slow Time Spell works wonders here—and charge your bow or Fireball Spell ready for launch. The Multi Arrow Spell is as helpful as always and, if you’re feeling brave, you can slam back its boulders with a carefully timed Melee attack. Not only does this deal a huge amount of damage, it also earns you the Feed the Trolls Achievement, if you haven’t unlocked it already. Of course, less confrontational Heroes can always simply run on by—but you’ll miss the gems the Troll drops on its death if you do.
Once the Troll is defeated, smash the barrel ahead for the book “The Guild of Zeroes,” and swipe the nearby Will and Ages of the Will Potions. There’s another strange stone orb along the path to the south (more on that later!) but little else to see at present. When you’re ready, make your way north-east to Witchwood Stones.
