To get the Hobbe Cave quest under way, simply talk with Grandma in the cottage to receive the Hexagon Key. Before you trot off again, though: it’s worth scouring the area for its valuable trinkets. Use your Spade on the flower-lined patch of dirt in the yard near the cottage to earn yourself a Silver Key then hack through the nearby brambles to reach a chest containing 500 Gold. Finally, when you’ve dusted yourself off, go check out the Demon Door in the south-west.
Rose Cottage Demon Door

All you need do to win the Rose Cottage Demon Door’s heart is give it a romantic gift, like the cheap Chocolates or Red Roses available in Bowerstone South. Once it’s satisfied of your intentions, you’ll gain access to The Secret Haven, containing a full Bright Will User’s outfit. This is handy for a number of reasons; firstly, you’ll gain increased protection against enemy magic and, secondly, its high Attractiveness rating makes it ideal for flirting. As an added bonus, the Bright Will User’s outfit helps convince townsfolk of your virtuous credentials (and reduces shop prices), even if you’re Evil.
Return to Greatwood Caves
When you’re done poking around Rose Cottage, head toward Greatwood Caves by following the southern-most path to the west in the Greatwood Cullis Gate area. It’s finally time to enter Hobbe Cave itself so set a course for the entrance to the south-west, hacking through the thorns to proceed. Don’t forget to grab the Will Potion and Red Meat on your way!
