There are only three Bandits on the Clifftop Path but progress isn’t quite as simple as it might first seem. If you’re spotted, the Bandits run ahead and seal the entrance to the Abandoned Road—forcing you to stay hidden for a short time before it re-opens. If you’re not in the mood for stealth, simply charge on in and hack/spike/blow the Bandits to pieces—just be aware that more Bandits emerge the next time the gate is open.
Luckily, two large rocks sit on either side of the pathway leading up to the gate. As soon as you finish off the first three Bandits, hide far behind the rock on the left. Next, wait for the three new Bandits to stroll on past. As soon as they’re beyond reach, dash through the gates to make your big entrance.
If you’re aiming for the Spare Bandits Boast, though, this isn’t an option. Instead, you need to sneak through undetected. To ensure you’re out of sight, keep a watch on the map and the Awareness Eye in the upper corner of the screen. Use the large boulders along the path as cover. Note that stealthy types will find that Assassin clothing or a few Guile upgrades can make their lives a whole lot easier.
