Once you’ve made your way to Orchard Farm, either via Greatwood Entrance or from Greatwood Lake, it’s time to get stuck into your next quest. Obviously, things play out a little differently depending on the card you chose, but there’s action to be had either way.
As a protector, your job is simple: eliminate each wave of Bandits as they pour into the area, attempting to keep your Guard buddies safe at the same time. If a Bandit gets his hands on a crate from the barn, hunt him down before he escapes. If all crates go bye-bye, so do your chances of completing the quest.
As an attacker, your role is to lead the Bandits to the barn and eliminate any Guard in the area. Once there, your next task is to provide cover while the Bandits remove each of the three crates in turn. Watch out, though; a new wave of Guards appears from the west after each crate is taken.
Duelling with Whisper
Regardless of the quest you selected, things culminate in a face-off against your old pal Whisper. She’ll block your standard attacks with ease, so rain down blows and unleash a Flourish attack as soon as the option is available. She won’t put up much of a fight and, once she’s defeated, you’ll earn the Whisper’s Brooch Trophy as a reward—just the thing to assert your burgeoning Hero credentials.
Foraging the Farm
While you’re still in the Orchard Farm area, you might as well pick it clean. Start by checking out the two wooden jetties over to the east—one off to the right near the end of the orchard and a second out on an island toward the edge of the map. Fish at the end of each jetty to reel in a Coron Visor Tattoo card and a Silver Key. Elsewhere, you’ll find a Jet gemstone in the chest behind the barn and Treasure Clue 5 at Point A. Finally, stick your tackle in the pond at Point B—there’s an Elixir of Life in there, just waiting to bite.
With the discovery of Treasure Clue 5, you’ve taken your first step toward solving the legendary Hidden Booty Hunt quest. Unfortunately, it’s going to be a while before you find your next clue, so try not to overexcite yourself.
Helping the Trader at Lookout Point
Once you’ve cleared Orchard Farm of its secrets, return to Lookout Point and speak with the newly arrived Trader perched by the statue. Noting your impressive Hero-ing credentials—and your incredibly manly brooch—he requests that you help him reach Orchard Farm in one piece. Accept his proposal to receive 125 Gold upfront, and a total reward of 500 Gold if you make it through unscathed.
If nothing else, this quest should familiarise you with the Follow and Wait Expressions. Use Follow to make the Trader tag along behind you, and Wait to stop him in his tracks. Begin by leading him to Greatwood Entrance and commanding him to Wait just inside.
Next, clear out the enemies roaming the area ahead, return to the Trader, and make him Follow you again until you reach Orchard Farm to the south. If the Trader makes it through unharmed, you’ll get your reward bonus. Follow him inside the farmhouse when you’re done and swipe the books lying around. This is your only chance to enter—so you might as well make the most of it.
Further Questing in the Greatwood Area
When you’ve tired of traipsing around, return to the Heroes’ Guild and take a few moments to spend your hard-earned Experience in the Map Room. Once you’re done, turn your attention to the Map Table and you’ll find that three new quests await. The Hobbe Killing Contest necessitates a return to Orchard Farm, while the Trader Escort story quest takes you deep into Darkwood forest. You should take them both. Meanwhile, the surprisingly challenging Hobbe Cave quest demands a subterranean excursion into the bowels of Greatwood—however, even the most diligent Trophy flashers are unlikely to have reached the prerequisite Renown Level 3 just yet—this is one to save for later.

The Hobbe Killing Contest
With your Boasting out the way, it’s time to return to Orchard Farm and best Whisper in a bout of Hobbe-based slaughter. At only three-and-a-half minutes, it’s a swift, well-paid quest—so worth taking a few moments out of your busy Hero-ing schedule to complete.
Your battle begins on the small island at the eastern end of Orchard Farm. Start laying into nearby Hobbes (alternating between Melee strikes and a few magical blasts for extra damage, if you’re so inclined) then turn your attention back to the mainland—plenty more Hobbes, of all shapes and sizes, charge in from there. If Whisper beats your final Hobbe-kill tally, you’ve failed and a restart is required. However, once you’re victorious, the fearsome Hobbe Tooth Trophy is yours.
