Before continuing on with the Trader Escort quest, you might as well pay a visit to the Chapel of Skorm, squatting menacingly to the east of Darkwood Camp. There’s an Assassin Shirt in the chest just left of the Chapel entrance and, with that small prize, Good Heroes can go merrily on their way. Evil characters, however, are heartily encouraged to step inside the ominous structure. Talk to the hooded figure standing by the altar (receiving a new quest card in the process) and, if your black heart desires, allow him to select a Trader to sacrifice. Needless to say, you’ll earn significant Evil points if you do—although you can still complete the Trader Escort, provided at least one of your charges remains.
Once you’ve had your fill of the fiery red air, return to Darkwood Camp with Traders in tow and head south-west to the Ancient Cullis Gate.
You can earn a wide variety of unique gifts—including the Necromancer title, renewed youth (decreasing your age by up to 10 years), and the Legendary Skorm’s Bow—by making sacrifices to the abominable Skorm. All you need do is find a suitable offering on your travels and command it to Follow you to the Chapel of Skorm—where an eternity of damnation awaits. If you can’t be bothered with the legwork, consider hiring a bodyguard and teleporting back to the Chapel—he’ll warp in right alongside you, much to his imminent regret.
Skorm’s Bow
Skorm’s Bow is the most powerful Ranged weapon in all of Albion. To lay your devilish hands on it, you need to earn a certain number of Evil points from one single sacrifice. The exact amount required depends on your current Alignment. Skorm, rather unfairly, demands much less of Good or Alignment-neutral characters than of his Evil followers. As such, Evil-favouring Heroes should consider donating enough Gold at the Temple of Avo (in Witchwood) to receive the Sentinus. This grants a significant Alignment shift, making it much easier to appease Skorm (although you may end up with the Good version of the Losing My Religion Achievement in the process).
Additionally, there are a number of factors that influence the amount you earn for each sacrifice. The first important point to remember is that, for the most points, you should always perform your ritual as close to midnight—leading into Sunday—as possible. Your very first day in Albion (Day 0) is a Sunday, so start the sacrifice a few minutes before midnight on Day 6, Day 13, Day 20, etc. Finally, be sure to use victims with plenty of health—bodyguards, for instance, make perfect sacrifice fodder. There, that’s not so hard ... is it?
