Unsurprisingly, this far-flung patch of swampland, dedicated to Albion’s dearly departed, is hardly the most welcoming of places. For starters, the Demon Door to the north is a right old misery—and the hordes of Undead roaming the area don’t cheer things up much either. In better news, there’s a Cullis Gate here, meaning you should never need to trek through Windmill Hill again.
Lychfield Graveyard Demon Door
This door refuses to open without the blessing of long-dead Hero Nostro. Luckily, Nostro seeks four pieces of his missing armour, and, once returned, passage through the door is yours. Opening this Demon Door is integral to your progress in The Graveyard path quest—so expect to be back here very soon.
Nostro’s Treasure
Your first destination should be the gravekeeper’s hut, under the arch to the south. Inside, you’ll be privy to an interesting conversation—it seems the gravekeeper has stashed something valuable away in the graveyard. Speak to him and he’ll gladly open the gates for you, noting that the great Nostro himself lies buried within. Incidentally, there’s a Spade in the chest just outside the gravekeeper’s hut—which should be of precisely no use if you’ve been following along so far.
When you’re ready to go deeper into Lychfield Graveyard, make your way to the gates along the main path. Once they’re open, rush in and start battling the Undead. There are plenty to get through, most spewing from the ground when you least expect it. However, they’re pretty easy to deal with, as long as you proceed with caution. For some reason, the crazy old gravekeeper decides to join your quest—protect him if you must, but it won’t matter if he dies.
Make your way west, hacking through the seemingly endless hordes of Undead and head into Nostro’s crypt at the very end of the path. Despite his whole being-dead-for-centuries thing, Nostro is still happy to clue you in on your next objective: find the four pieces of his legendary attire—the helmet, the armour, the sword, and the shield.
Nostro’s Armour lies in the mausoleum at Point A on the map. Be wary, though; each time you find an item, more Undead rise from the earth. Deal with their swelling ranks, then look for the water visible through the broken wall at Point B. Use your Rod to reel in Nostro’s Shield and prepare for another bout of Undead slaughter.
Cross back over the bridge to the east and immediately take a right when the path permits. Keep a lookout for the last grave on the right—you can dig up a Silver Key here. When you’re done, enter the mausoleum nearby and score a second Silver Key. Next, visit the small cluster of graves at Point C. Use your Spade on the strange, glowing patch of earth to receive Nostro’s Sword. Finally, there’s a third Silver Key waiting to be fished out of the water, just to the east.
There’s one last place to go before all four pieces of treasure are yours—the gravekeeper’s hut (at Point D) where all this began. You can find Nostro’s Helmet perched gaily on a shelf inside. Grab it, then root through the bookshelf to find the Buzz hairstyle card. There’s also an Ages of Skill Potion in the cupboard nearby, if you’re so inclined. Once you’re suitably looted, leg it all the way back to the west and dump your newfound treasures in Nostro’s crypt. As a reward, the Demon Door to the east finally opens.
