  • Reward: High drachmae, rare head armor (Theseus’s Helmet), medium XP
  • Story: Some would argue war isn’t good for much, but one man thinks it is just what Gortyn needs.

Speak to the civilian at the Gortyn Code and accept his request to find and kill the visiting herald. Find the herald at the Leader House on the hill in northern Gortyn. You can weaken nation power in Messara by burning war supplies, looting nation chests, and committing other acts against the ruling side. Once the nation power is weakened, observe the herald’s movements at night. You may find him on the roof terrace with only one guard nearby.

Once the herald is defeated, head to Daidalos Fort south of Gortyn to find and kill the leader of Messara. At night, find him in the northern building. Make your way around the perimeter first. If you haven’t already done it, burn the five war supplies and pillage the nation chest. Kill the weakened leader. Return to Ptolemaios once both targets have been killed.
