Following the battle at Thermopylae, you return to modern day, where Assassin’s Creed Origins’ modern-times protagonist Layla Hassan makes her Odyssey debut. Layla discovered the lost book of Herodotos while searching for First Civ artifacts. In the book, she learns of a Spartan mercenary who wielded a First Civ weapon called the Spear of Leonidas. Our story picks up here as Layla recovers Leonidas’s broken spear.
With the help of Dr. Victoria Bibeau, Layla enters the portable Animus and, using the Spear of Leonidas as the key to her travels, is transported to ancient Greece during the Peloponnesian War, when the spear was last owned—431 BCE.
