- Story: Though the young boy’s claim of a living Minotaur seems improbable, you decide to help him search for his father.
Messara: Knossos Palace
Attempting to loot a chest at a makeshift camp outside Knossos Palace gets the attention of Ardos. Follow Ardos to the entrance to the Labyrinth of Lost Souls, located below Knossos Palace. This is a fast-travel point, for easier returns. The Of Minotaurs and Men quest is unlocked.
Of Minotaurs and Men

- Location: Knossos Palace in Minos’s Legacy, Messara
- Story: The young and scrappy Ardos spoke of three men who left his father for dead. If you were a real hero, you would help find him.
Messara: Knossos Palace
Three support quests (Blood in the Water, Full Circle, and Recollections) are unlocked with this quest—requiring you to talk to Swordfish, the collector, and Ardos’s caretaker. Then you must complete the Seeking Answers quest.
Blood in the Water

- Prerequisite: Begin Of Minotaurs and Men
- Unlocks: N/A
- Location: Fisherman’s Beacon in Octopus Bay, Messara
- Story: A dangerous man, Swordfish, is said to control Heraklion from the shadows. However, no one has seen him in person for a very long time.
Messara: Octopus bay
Travel to Fisherman’s Beachhead in Octopus Bay and talk to civilians to find out that Swordfish can be found at Fisherman’s Beacon, northwest of Heraklion. Be careful—you may attract the attention of the guards. At Fisherman’s Beacon, walk onto the east dock. Sharks swim in the water below, so either kill them or be prepared to evade their attacks. Dive in, turn around, and enter the cave to find your target. Talk to Swordfish and then kill him to complete the support quest and eliminate another cultist.
Full Circle
- Recommended Level: 29
- Prerequisite: Begin Of Minotaurs and Men
- Unlocks: N/A
- Story: After years of silence, Ardos’s caretaker reaches out, asking the boy to meet at their old house. Suspicious, you decide to go instead.
Messara: phaistos village
Meet a man pretending to be the caretaker at Ardos’s house and decide to kill him or spare his life. At Phaistos Village, scan the Phaistos Theater to find the caretaker and several cult guards. Kill the cult guards before freeing the caretaker. Follow him out of the area and talk to him to complete the quest.
Recollections
- Recommended Level: 29
- Prerequisite: Begin Of Minotaurs and Men
- Unlocks: N/A
- Story: The collector sells all manner of trinkets, but you are only interested in the Minotaur.
Messara: Minos’s Legacy
Talk to the collector in Gortyn City. Next head to nearby Daidalos Fort. From the southern corner tower, go west to find the Daidalos Armory. Kill the polemarch inside and then loot the armor that is displayed on a pedestal on the upper level.
Seeking Answers
- Recommended Level: 29
- Prerequisite: Complete Full Circle
- Unlocks: A Place of Twists and Turns chapter, He Waits quest
- Story: Realizing you have the information Ardos needs to continue the search for his father, you know you have to go to him.
Messara: Knossos Palace
Return to Ardos at Knossos Palace to receive Theseus’s Gauntlets (rare arm armor) and the Phaistos Disk.
