Assassin's Creed Odyssey eGuide Odyssey Main Quests Chapter 5: Keos, Korinthia, Argolis

Pirate Hospitality

Island of Misfortune

  • Recommended Level: 17
  • Prerequisite: Complete Perikles’s Symposium
  • Unlocks: Support quest A Chest Full of Drachmae. Pirate Hospitality is one of three quest lines that must be completed to unlock the quest line Rising from the Ashes. The quest unlocked is Abandoned by the Gods.
  • Story: Your search for your mother leads you to seek out Xenia, a ruthless admiral with a vicious reputation.

Meet the Pirate, Xenia

Keos

Sail to the island in the east called Keos and dock (1) your ship on the far east side of the island. Xenia (3) is located in Pirate’s Revenge. Take time to synchronize with the Reclining Lion (2). Ride north to the Temple of Athena Medusia and synchronize on the rooftop before entering the same building to find Xenia.

Open the door and Xenia throws a thug out onto the front porch and cuts a slave mark into his forehead.

Conversation with Xenia

Xenia asks why she shouldn’t kill you. Reply “I came to meet you.”You tell her you came to offer her a deal. You ask for information about your mother. You describe her birthmarks. When she asks who the woman is, answer “My mother.” You drop Aspasia’s name to encourage her to trust you. She wants drachmae—1,500 of them. If you don’t have that much money, reply “I don’t have it”; in response she gives you some jobs to get the amount. If you have it, then pay it to end the quest. Reply “Here” to pay her. Note that if you lie to Xenia or kill any of her pirates, she will raise her fee to 1,700 drachmae.

Pay Xenia Drachmae

When you have 1,500 drachmae to pay Xenia, return to her at the Temple of Athena Medusia (3) and speak with her. Pay the fee.

Conversation with Xenia

Xenia tells you about how your mother was a member of her crew and went by the name Phoenix. You can ask her where your mother is, why she left, and how Xenia met her. To continue, select “I have what I need.” Xenia tells you your mother left and sailed southwest from here.

After the conversation, Xenia invites you to come back if you don’t find what you are looking for. The quest is complete. You get a hefty amount of XP. If you talk to Xenia again after this quest, she’ll give you another quest: Birds of a Feather (a side quest where you use three maps to decipher the locations of treasures).
