Assassin's Creed Odyssey eGuide World Quests Messara

Civil Unrest

Civil Unrest

  • Recommended Level: 28
  • Quest Giver: Textile Merchant
  • Prerequisite: Episode 3 and discover Little Egypt
  • Unlocks: N/A
  • Location: Kydonia in Little Egypt, Messara
  • Reward: Medium drachmae, rare head armor (Bandit Lord Helmet—loot from captain), medium XP
  • Story: In Kydonia, the military and the merchants find themselves constantly at odds. You set out to settle these unruly disputes.

A merchant in Kydonia wants the misthios to deal with three disputes around the city. At each objective marker, you are given the opportunity to use violence or words to end the dispute. Just east of the shop, convince the unruly crowd to talk it out or make them stop with your weapon. Choose words and your bounty is raised. Select violence and you must kill or flee the group of angry, soon-to-be-armed civilians.

Next to the docks, you must respond with ”Your laws are flawed” or ”Laws must be followed.” Both options result in a fight between the guards and civilians. You must defeat the soldiers to end this dispute.

On the east side of town, soldiers harass a merchant. Tell the soldiers to leave him alone and you are required to kill the guards. Offer to help and the soldier expects you to break the merchant’s pots. Do so and talk to the soldier.

Once all three disputes have been resolved, return to the textile merchant. Read the letter next to him and then find Captain Diokles on the southeast side of Kydonia. He is surrounded by four light soldiers and an archer, so be sure you are ready for the fight. Climb the buildings just north of him and stealthily kill the archer first. You can use the rooftops to lose the enemy and then get stealth kills against them. Kill the captain and loot his body for your reward.
