Talk to Herodotos
Bouleuterion of Delphi
From the Snake Temple (1), you can find Herodotos (2) to the north near the Temple of Apollo but in the Bouleuterion of Delphi adjacent to it. He helps you into the cult meeting and suggests you leave all your weapons behind.

- Story: The Oracle revealed the secret meeting place of the mysterious Cult of Kosmos, and you can finally lift the veil they have drawn around their cause. The time has come to infiltrate.
Gather Information on the Cultists
Head down the stairs to the bottom of the Temple of Apollo. Follow the tunnel until you enter the ceremonial room. The disguise works. Don’t blow it. Ask the recruit about the other people here and the identity of the cultist Deimos. And then just say “Thank you” to end the conversation.
Approach the middle of the cavern and, working in a counterclockwise direction, talk to the couple of cultists with the magnifying glass above their heads on the right.
Conversation with the Cultists
They argue over who in your family should be hunted and you can answer “The Father,” “The Mother,” or “Neither.”
Walk across the stepping stones behind the two cultists you just talked to and enter the cave to find a torture scene taking place. A cultist is torturing another. He catches you watching and asks you to brand the victim.
Conversation with the Cultist Torturer
You can choose “I don’t know,” “I won’t do it,” or “What did he do?”
The next choice allows you to tell him “I’ll do it,” “You do it,” or “I won’t do it.” You can prove your loyalty and burn the man’s arm without raising your bounty or just let the torturer do it. Afterward you get another mysterious object (quest item) and finish all the clues.
Talk to the single cultist on the opposite side of the circular platform. He makes a blood offering. Go along with the disguise and offer some blood yourself.
Conversation with the Blood-Offering Cultist
Make your decision about the offering. Afterward you can ask this guy about what would happen to your mother if caught, or where she is, or ask about the identity of Deimos. You can end the conversation with “We’re done here.”
Listen to the conversation through the door that’s ajar at the end of the short path behind the cultist you just talked to.
Follow the circular platform counterclockwise from that last cultist and follow the next watery path through some falls and into a cavern with another clue. Find the clue in the far back right corner near the water pit. You receive three mysterious objects (quest items) and cultist letters.
Place the Fragment on the Artifact
Return to the central platform heading toward the objective marker. Interact with the artifact in the middle of the room.
Conversation with First Cultist
The lady who greeted you when you entered approaches you after the object has been placed in the appropriate space. She asks if it calls to you like it does to her. You can answer “I want to touch it” or “I’ll keep my distance” with each answer causing different reactions. Next, answer her question about pride with “Of course” or “I can’t.” Your choices lead you to the same shocking scene that follows.
Deimos comes crashing in with Elpenor’s head in hand. When Deimos finally picks you out of the crowd to test the truth—using the artifact—a vision from your childhood is shared by only the two of you simultaneously. You reconnect, and Deimos sets you free without blowing your cover, beating a cultist to death with bare hands to make the others believe that cultist was the spy and not you.
Conversation with Herodotos
Outside you reconnect with Herodotos, choosing from a selection of incomplete truths in your conversation. You then tell him about Deimos. The discussion then moves to Perikles. You can answer “Perikles is a great general” or “Perikles is the leader of democracy.” He believes he is working to end the war and you need his help. Herodotos wants to go to Perikles now. You can answer “It’s too late” or “I’m only worried about my mother.” Herodotos will track down leads on your mother while in Athens. You are to go to Thermopylae first.
