- Story: You descend into the depths of Knossos Palace to slay the dreaded Minotaur.
Messara: Knossos Palace
Descend below Knossos Palace and place the Phaistos Disk into the slot to open the door. Dive into the water and follow the path to the labyrinth. The maze ahead leads to the Minotaur boss fight, but three treasure chests and the Legacy Ring can be found if you explore all of the paths. Our map shows the route to each treasure and the boss.
The Minotaur is equipped with a heavy bladed weapon that gives him long reach and powerful strikes. Remain at distance whenever possible and be sure to keep evading when close. A leaping slam attack allows him to close in fairly quickly, but a sidestep will help you avoid taking damage.
Blocks scattered around the arena can be used to slow the beast down—run around them when evading his pursuit. He will bust through them, which provides a great opportunity to attack.
During the first phase, he charges straight at you with a leap attack. Evade straight at him, turn around, and get in a couple shots before he repeats this maneuver.
When his health has been reduced by half, he changes it up with a new charge attack. If you are unable to avoid the move, he grabs and tosses you into the air—followed by a devastating slam. Evade to the side and get in your own melee strikes or more arrows.
He now has a projectile attack, where he scrapes up some rocks with his axe and hurls them your way. Sidestep to avoid the debris.
After defeating the Minotaur, you acquire the Prize of the Minotaur. Return to Ardos and talk to him; you must decide to hand over the ring or keep it. You are also rewarded with a legendary heavy bladed weapon (Minotaur’s Labrys).
