The vent leads to Royal Flush Plaza’s north west maintenance area. This is the only place where Chuck can enter the Safe House, and it’s now marked on your map. Check your map to view the location of Roy’s Mart within Royal Flush Plaza—it’s marked by a red icon.
That’s where you need to go, and your guide arrow will lead you there. Notice that the names of the stores appear as you move your cursor across the map. Handy!
Pick up the baseball bat near the first set of stairs you encounter in the maintenance area.
You should now have a fire axe, baseball bat, milk, and orange juice—a healthy combination for some zombie killin’. The sledgehammer you discover farther down the hall is a sound choice as well.
It’s not long before Stacey tests out the transceiver she gave to Chuck. Answer her call by pressing the button shown onscreen. She’ll remind you that the Zombrex should be found inside Roy’s Mart. You just have to make it there and back in one piece.
Open the double doors at the end of the hall to enter the mall. Beware: Legions of undead lurk just ahead!
Don’t waste much time on the zombies in the mall. Kill any that get in your way, but by and large, simply try to avoid them by weaving through, looking for gaps in the throng.
Ripping apart zombies is certainly fun but you’ll have plenty of chances to do lots of that as you explore Fortune City. Remember, time is your biggest enemy in Dead Rising 2, and you can’t waste a second if you want to complete all of those missions.
