Case 3 doesn’t kick off for a while yet, but Stacey calls Chuck shortly after he pockets the Underground access Key, reminding him that Katey will need another dose of Zombrex soon.
No worries; if you followed this walkthrough carefully, you already found Zombrex on Americana Casino’s hidden ledge. Don’t worry if you haven’t acquired any Zombrex yet; we’ll soon show you how to score some.
For now, run north along the tunnel, heading for the service door that leads up to Americana Casino. Go upstairs to reach the casino floor.
If you didn’t grab the Zombrex from the Americana Casino before, enter Bennie Jack’s BBQ shack and sprint upstairs to its second floor.
Hop onto the counter to the left of the upstairs fire pit, then leap along the hanging light fixtures to reach a secret ledge, where a dose of Zombrex awaits.
KILLING TIME: PART 2
Now that you’ve got Zombrex, it’s time to complete some more side missions. Remember, you can’t give little Katey her medicine until 7:00 am, so let’s be constructive with the free time you’ve got. Begin by mixing up a Quick step at shots & awe if you haven’t got one.
SIDE MISSION: CODE BLUE
Down your Quick step and set your guide arrow to the “Code blue” mission, which is likely running short of time. Enter the Platinum strip and then make tracks for one Little Duck bingo, located along the silver strip beyond fortune Park.
Inside, you find a paramedic named Sven who’s vainly attempting to resuscitate a goner named Tim Duggan. Poor Tim can’t be saved, but Sven certainly can. Speak to Sven until he agrees to join you, then immediately tune your guide arrow to the “once bitten” task.
SIDE MISSION: ONCE BITTEN
Take an escalator up to the plaza’s second floor and follow the guide arrow to locate a man named Jared, who’s slumped down on the floor, bleeding profusely from a nasty zombie bite.
Give Jared your Zombrex to save his life and get him to join you, then lend him a shoulder and lead your two survivors back to the safe House.
SIDE MISSION: AN INDUSTRIAL FASHION
You likely still have a bit of time before Katey needs her Zombrex. (If not, go ahead and give her the medicine now.)
Exit the safe House and tune your guide arrow to “an industrial fashion,” then follow the guide arrow to south Plaza, where you find two female construction workers fighting for their lives against the undead.
Help Terri clear out the undead, then speak with her. She won’t come with you until you check on her friend, Willa. Climb onto the nearby crate and scaffolding to speak with Willa, who’s badly wounded.
Willa joins after you speak with her. Drop down and talk to Terri once more to get her to join you as well. Carry the wounded Willa and rush back to the safe House to give Katey her Zombrex if you haven’t done so yet.
