POINTS OF INTEREST
1. MAINTENANCE ROOM 14
The maintenance room to the left of the doors to slot ranch Casino contains a lead pipe, rocket fireworks, and a battery.
Combine the lead pipe and rocket fireworks to assemble a rocket launcher, and merge the battery with the goblin mask that’s right outside the room to form a roaring thunder.
2. MAINTENANCE ROOM 15
This one’s our favorite. In the alley south of Hot Excitorama, you’ll find a maintenance room that contains a chain saw, a box of nails, and a propane tank, and there’s a paddle right outside atop a dumpster.
Merge the box of nails with the propane tank to build a volatile I.E.D., and combine the paddle with the chain saw to form a death-dealing paddlesaw!
3. MAINTENANCE ROOM 16
Sprint through the back door of Hot Excitorama to reach a maintenance room that sports a lead pipe, a machete, and a push broom. Rocket freworks lie on the ground just outside as well.
This allows Chuck to build a pole weapon (machete + push broom), along with a rocket launcher (lead pipe + rocket fireworks) to help him slaughter zombies both near and far.
4. MAINTENANCE ROOM 17
Enter the maintenance room behind the Angel Lust stage to acquire the makings for a freezer bomb (dynamite + fre extinguisher).
An electric guitar and an amplifer sit right outside as well; merge these to assemble a shock wave-spawning power guitar.
5. MAINTENANCE ROOM 18
The north maintenance room near tinkerbox pawnshop contains two gems and a bowie knife. Just outside, you discover boxing gloves and a flashlight.
Make deadly knife gloves by combining the boxing gloves and bowie knife, and build a lethal laser sword by merging the flashlight with one of the piles of gems.
6. MAINTENANCE ROOM 19
Last but not least, the maintenance room that’s tucked back in the corner near the Luaii Wauwii restaurant contains a saw blade and two boxes of nails.
Outside lies a cement saw and a 2x4. Merge the saw blade and cement saw to make a ripper. You can assemble a porta-mower by merging the 2x4 with the lawn mower found in the nearby grass near Luaii Wauwii.
7. CA-CA-COMBO!
The large trailer at the silver strip’s far north end is known as the Combo Bay. Chuck must defeat a psychopath named leon Bell during the “Meet the Contestants” side mission to access the Combo Bay, where he’s free to modify motorbikes in a variety of ways.
Reference the table at the beginning of this chapter to discover all of the devious devices Chuck can install onto his bike.
8. PRICEY GUIDANCE
Think strategy guides are expensive? Try paying for hints at the Fortune Whisperer, an automated advisor that stands just outside of one little duck Bingo.
Doling out heaps of cash to this mechanical wise man has its purpose; you’ll earn significant PP bonuses as you continue to feed the machine and eventually unlock the burning skull combo card when you at last deposit the final $500,000 fee!
After toying with the Fortune Whisperer, enter One Little Duck Bingo to locate two unique items.
First, there’s the bingo ball cage; this can be combined with a battery (find one in the nearby Maintenance Room 14) to build the electrifying tesla ball combo weapon.
There’s also a magazine near the bingo ball cage called Leadership, which increases the effectiveness of all survivors that follow Chuck for as long as he’s carrying the mag — helpful if you enjoy keeping followers around.
9. THE TINKERER’S KEY
Pop into tinkerbox to visit the silver strip’s pawnshop. Among zombrex and other interesting wares, you’ll fnd the SUV key on sale here that allows you to drive the SUV parked in the nearby Shamrock Casino.
The price tag is steep at two million bucks, but trust us, it’s worth the expense!
10. LAUII WOWIE
The restaurant at the north end of Silver Strip, Luaii Wauwii, is a great place to fnd lots of food and several functional weapons.
First, there’s a lawn mower on the outside grass to the east — it’s deadly in its own right, but even more lethal when combined with one of the 2x4s found around the nearby Maintenance room 19.
On the opposite side of the restaurant, you fnd a powerful broadsword lodged in a boulder. You don’t need to be King Arthur to pulleth out this mighty blade!
Find a magazine called Juice Boost on the counter of the restaurant’s outdoor bar. This handy mag doubles the duration of all juice drink benefts while held, making it extremely valuable and well worth keeping.
Inside Luaii Wauwii, you find multiple curatives, including sushi that restores signifcant amounts of health.
There are also paddles and a swordfsh inside the eatery that serve as comical yet functional weapons. Find a stove in the kitchen and place a pan upon it to claim an easy 1,000 PP before you leave.
11. WORLD’S MOST DANGEROUS RIDE
Swing into shamrock Casino to drool over a burly SUV that’s on display. You need to accumulate two million dollars to buy the key for this ultimate zombie- masher. The key can be purchased at the nearby Tinkerbox pawnshop.
Considering how much scratch it takes to buy that SUV, you might want to grab the Gambling 3 magazine that’s tucked away in Shamrock Casino’s northeast corner.
This mag enhances your chances of winning big when playing the many gambling minigames found around Fortune City.
12. STAGING AN ASSAULT
Rock gods Angel Lust have erected quite a stage along Silver Strip, and there are plenty of nasty weapons lying all around it.
You’ll find all manner of zombie-rocking guitars around the stage, but the best treats are hidden up high. Climb up to the top of the steel girders to reach a chain saw and shotgun that are sure to knock ’em dead.
13. DROWN YOUR SORROWS
Plenty of strong spirits can be swallowed within Pub O’ Gold, but the blender behind the counter is the real fnd here. Mix up some delicious juice drinks, referencing the “Appendix” chapter of this guide for a complete listing of blender concoctions.
14. PRESTIGIOUS PEEP SHOW
There isn’t much to see at the Silver Strip’s Peep show — in terms of items, that is. Chuck can take in quite the view here, however, just steer him into one of the shop’s three doors to net him 1,000 PP, along with plenty of sexual frustration.
Enter all three doors to really rev Chuck’s motor and walk away with a satisfying 10,000 PP bonus!
15. SAUCY SHORTCUT
After pillaging bills from the pair of ATMs that stand outside of Hot Excitorama, enter the shop and explore the back room to locate a maintenance hall that leads to Palisades Mall. This shortcut is always available, so take advantage.
16. GOING UP
Silver Strip sports two special ladders that lead to the roofs of the Royal Flush Plaza and the Atlantica Casino.
One is located near Maintenance room 14; the other is found at the far end of the alley to the south of Hot Excitorama.
There isn’t a whole lot of interest atop these roofs — just an assortment of common items — but scaling these ladders becomes helpful when you’re faced with a quartet of psycho snipers at one point during the adventure.
Climb the ladders to confront these snipers on even ground.
17. CRAZY KIOSKS
The Rockets Red Glare kiosk contains unlimited amounts of every firework. Of particular interest are the rocket fireworks — bring a few of these to Maintenance room 15 and using the nearby lead pipes to assemble some spectacular rocket launchers.
It’s also worth noting that three baseball bats can be found at the Barrel of Goods kiosk. Carry two of these up to Maintenance room 19 and build a couple of spiked bats using the two boxes of nails found inside the room.
18. COMBO CARD: PADDLESAW
Examine the standing display at the Silver Strip’s south end, close to the doors to slot ranch Casino. The poster on one side of the display inspires Chuck with the paddlesaw combo card — one of the coolest combo weapons in the game.
