With a cool mil in your pocket and five faithful followers at your flank, make the short jog across Fortune Park and enter Slot Ranch Casino, looking for a man named Woodrow who’s fiddling with an ATM.
Beat back the surrounding zombies as you chat with Woodrow, who isn’t about to let all of Fortune City’s perfectly good money go to waste just because of a little outbreak.
Follow Woodrow around Slot Ranch Casino and the Food Court as he “liberates” the cash stored in each of its ATMs. Keep the zombies away from Woodrow so he can complete his greedy scheme.
After hitting the final ATM, Woodrow agrees to accompany Chuck to the Safe House. Head back to return all six of your survivors and receive a tidy sum of PP—along with a cool $50,000 from Woodrow and a dose of Zombrex from Richard!
SIDE MISSION: CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY
If you rescued Jared Davis during the “Once Bitten” mission, then he’s likely in need of Zombrex by now. Fortunately for him, you’ve just acquired an extra vial.
Follow the guide arrow to find Jared in rough shape. Be a pal and give him your spare Zombrex to spare his life and collect a huge PP bonus.
SIDE MISSION: SLAVE TO FASHION AND WWJWD
These two side missions are best completed simultaneously. Build two spiked bats on your way out of the Safe House and concoct a Quick Step and some Pain Killers at Shots & Awe.
Use the Quick Step to hasten your journey to Fortune City Hotel.
Locate a scantily-clad woman named Europa hiding behind some plants near the lobby elevators. She’s too embarrassed to follow Chuck back tothe Safe House unless Chuck is also nigh-nude.
Europa tells Chuck to undress at a shop in the South Plaza. Hey, whatever it takes!
While en route to the shop (which now appears on your map as an objective), you encounter a deranged security guard named Seymour who is taking the law into his own twisted hands by hanging innocent people in the square.
You can’t allow this psycho to go on killing survivors!
Seymour is armed with a handgun, and he’s pretty quick on the draw. He’s also packing a club for close-range attacks and can lasso Chuck from medium-range to set up vicious assaults.
There’s no science to stopping this lunatic: simply rush Seymour from the start and batter him with relentless blows, interrupting his attack rhythm and keeping him on the defensive.
Pound Pain Killers as needed, but otherwise just keep pounding on Seymour.
After defeating Seymour, listen for the screams of a nearby man named Ray. You’ll find him near South Plaza’s southeast maintenance room, surrounded by zombies. Kill the fiends and then speak with Ray to get him to join you.
Ray’s about to get a whole lot more of Chuck Greene than he bargained for.
Continue to the clothing store that Europa has pointed out (it’s marked as an objective on your map) and examine the underwear display to undress Chuck, stripping him down to his skivvies. Sorry, Ray—it’s either this or death by zombies.
Huff it back to Europa to show her that Chuck’s not afraid of running around in his undies. Impressed by our hero’s bravado, Europa at last agrees to accompany Chuck back to the Safe House.
Don’t lead her there just yet, however—time is likely running out on the “Know When to Fold ’Em” task, which is easy to complete and not far away.
SIDE MISSION: KNOW WHEN TO FOLD ’EM
Make tracks to the Silver Strip, moving quickly to avoid being shot by those psychotic snipers. Head into the Shamrock Casino to speak with a real gamblin’ man named Bill.
The house always wins, as they say, and poor Bill has lost it all by playing the slots for far too long.
But, like any true addict, this guy won’t budge until he’s recouped his losses. Bail Bill out by handing him $20,000—you should easily have this if you helped Woodrow during the “Bank Run” mission.
Incredibly, Bill then demands another $5,000—hand this over as well to finally get him to see reason and join you.
SIDE MISSION: BENT WOOD
With Bill, Ray, and Europa following behind, hurry back to the Safe House, making a quick stop at Royal Flush Plaza’s Spor Trance store on the way. Grab the golf club on the ground near the Casino Cup mini game—you’ll soon find out why you need it.
Once you’re back at the Safe House, pop by the lounge and speak with Luz, who’s upset because she has no golf club with which to keep her skills sharp. Luz asks you to find her a club—but you’re already one stroke ahead.
Hand her the one you’ve just collected to score some easy cash and PP.
