Dead Rising 2 eGuide Walkthrough Case 5-1: Stake Out

Side Mission: One Hit Wonder

Carry Tammy and lead the rest of your posse over to Slot Ranch Casino, where you encounter a different sort of psycho who isn’t interested in bloodshed.

Instead, failing singer Bibi Love is desperate to put on one last show—and she’s rigged a few survivors up to explosive tables to ensure that they give her their undivided attention!

Hop onstage and speak with Ms. Love, who has a few errands for Chuck to run. Her first two demands are a refreshing drink, and that Chuck dress appropriately for the momentous occasion.

Hand Bibi any beverage you happen to have on you, then enter Royal Flush Plaza, leaving Tammy behind (you won’t be gone long).

If you didn't have a beverage for Bibi before, you can find orange juice in the back room of Roy's Mart, along with a coffee creamer.

Enter the nearby Modern Businessman store afterward and examine the rear dressing rooms to deck Chuck out in a snazzy tuxedo. Make sure to grab the black dress shoes to match!

Return to Bibi and speak with her again. For her final request, Ms. Love orders you to round up a large audiece - her current handful of "fans" just won't do. Find some fireworkds in the backstage area and toss them near the stage to lure zombies toward it.

You can also run around a bit, using Chuck as bait to draw in the undead.

Soon enough, Ms. Love declares that she's ready to greet her rabid fans.

Speak to Bibi one last time to receive her blessing, then move to the stage controls located near the bound woman, Allison, and examine them to begin a short rhythm-based minigame.

The goal is simple: Watch the meter at the bottom of the screen, waiting for button icons to scroll by from the right. Press the appropriate button when each icon passes through the highlighted spot on the left.

Timing each press correctly sets off a dramatic pyro display while Bibi belts out her number. The buttons come with greater speed as the show winds to it's conclusion; you don't have to hit every button, but try your best!

Thrilled by her epic comeback performance, Bibi decides to give the crowd what they really want: her! Unfortunately, Ms. love doesn't realize that her fans only want her because they're mindless zombies starved for human flesh... But hey, you can't fix crazy.

Bibi might be off her rocker, but she's far from the worst psychopath the Chuck has encountered in Fortune City. Don't let her life end like this; beat back those zombies to save the would-star, then speak with Bibi to recruit her as a survivor.

No longer in danger, Bibi's "captive" audience joins Chuck, eager to be away from this awful place. That's eight survivors you've got following you now - quite the posse!

Collect Tammy from the restroom, save your game and then lead your crew into Royal Flush Plaza

Unfortunately, one of Bibi’s captives— Cameron—is injured and can’t move very fast. You’re already carrying Tammy, so you’ll have to wait for Cameron at first. Make sure he makes it into Royal Flush Plaza, then streak for the Safe House, leaving him behind.

Drop Tammy off near the Safe House’s entrance, then sprint back through the mall to lend Cameron a shoulder. Herd all eight survivors into the Safe House at once for a massive PP injection!

SIDE MISSION: FORTUNE CITY BOTANY CLUB

Now that you’re back at the Safe House, enter the cafeteria and speak with Vikki, the girl you rescued from Brandon Whittaker during the “Chuck the Role Model” mission.

Hand Vikki the peace art plant you’ve been carrying all this time to complete an easy mission worthy of some fast PP.

SIDE MISSION: ANTE UP

Depending on how swift you’ve been, you may have a few hours to kill before the clock strikes 7:00 AM and Katey needs her medicine.

Assuming you’ve got some Zombrex, spend this free time by playing against fellow survivors in a relaxing game of Texas Hold ’Em within the Safe House.

The rules and strategies for this game of Hold ’Em mirror those you used to win big against the pros during the “High Rollers” side mission. Flip back a few pages in this walkthrough to refresh your memory on how to play.

The main difference between “Ante Up” and “High Rollers” are the buy-ins: It costs just $25,000 to play against your Safe House pals.

In addition, each time a player “busts out” by losing all of their cash, they also lose an article of clothing. That’s right—this is a game of strip poker!

Players will automatically buy back into the game as long as they still have some clothes to lose—and the required $25,000 to play.

This is why we recommended that you grab a hat and some shades from Royal Flush Plaza’s Hat Racks and Universe of Optics clothing stores—these count as clothes, allowing Chuck to buy in a couple of additional times if need be.

Stacey will call tor emind you when it’s time to give Katey her Zombrex, so just sit back and enjoy yourself until then.

See if you can bust out one of your buddies, stripping them down to their humble unmentionables. Eliminating just one player in this fashion is enough to win you this lighthearted side mission.
