Dead Rising 2 eGuide Walkthrough Terror is Reality

Great Escape

Chuck gets a scare when he enters the green room, but finds Katey safe and sound—the clever child was hiding in a wardrobe. Our hero grabs his little girl and prepares to make a life-or-death run through the teeming undead hoard.

Chuck is only able to kick zombies out of his way while carrying Katey, so fighting the undead isn’t a sound option anymore. Focus on getting past the cretins while dashing for the arena lobby instead, following the trusty guide arrow.

Unfortunate souls are becoming zombie food all around, but there’s still nothing you can do to save them. Just keep moving through gaps in the sea of flesh eating ghouls as you make for the doors that lead to Fortune City’s Platinum Strip.

Bursting out to fresh air, Chuck sees the once-peaceful Fortune City has been transformed into a terrible mess of screams, fire, and the walking dead. Our hero deftly makes his way through the chaos and into the city’s emergency shelter just before its outer doors slam shut.

SAFE AT LAST

Chuck, Katey, and a handful of survivors are all that manage to reach the city’s bunker, known more properly as the Safe House. On the other side of the massive security door, Chuck has a brief chat with Raymond Sullivan, a military reserve officer.

Sullivan notices Katey’s scar from when she was bitten during a previous zombie outbreak, but Chuck assures the man that he’s got plenty of Zombrex — the breakthrough drug that’s capable of preventing the infected from turning into zombies, provided that it’s administered once every 24 hours without fail.

As it turns out, Chuck was lying—he doesn’t have any Zombrex at all, just an empty carton. Katey will need some of the drug soon, and Chuck knows he’ll have to brave the horrors of Fortune City to find it.

Another survivor, Stacey Forsythe, tells Chuck that he can find some Zombrex in a pharmacy in the mall known as Royal Flush Plaza—all Chuck needs to do is find a way out of the Safe House.

Stacey also hands Chuck a transceiver so she can stay in contact as she monitors Fortune City from the Safe House’s security room. She promises not to tell Sullivan about Chuck and Katey’s plight.

It’s been a long time since Chuck has seen such a friendly face, but there isn’t time to get better acquainted.
