MAINTENANCE ROOMS
Chuck acquires the maintenance room key early in the adventure, which grants him access to the many maintenance rooms scattered across Fortune City.
Each of these rooms provides Chuck with the basic tools he needs to combine items into hilariously lethal combo weapons.
See the “Skills, Weapons and Combos” or “Appendix” chapters of this guide for a complete list of the many diferent combo weapons Chuck can build.
RESTROOMS (SAVE POINTS)
In a city flled with zombies and rampant psychopaths, dying can be an all-too-common occurrence. Make sure to save your progress regularly by visiting one of Fortune City’s many restrooms.
Here, Chuck may unload himself of his heavy burdens, marking his progress to ensure that an unexpected death or missed opportunity doesn’t become a major setback.
ELEVATORS
Elevators go up and down, allowing for travel between foors. Call one by interacting with the controls outside the elevator doors, then step inside and use the inner controls to put the lift in motion.
Most elevators lead to the city’s few rooftop areas and remain locked until you progress to a certain point in the adventure.
DOORS
Most doors Chuck encounters can be opened by simply approaching them and pressing the interact button. Some doors lead to small security offices or maintenance halls — these can be closed behind Chuck after he passes through to stem the tide of zombie followers.
Other doors are used to separate diferent sections of the city — these are all marked by special icons on the map. Chuck automatically closes these doors behind him after he moves through, preventing zombies from following.
UNDERGROUND ACCESS
At a certain point in the adventure, Chuck gains the ability to access the city’s Underground. These dank, subsurface tunnels are accessed via special service doors, which are clearly marked with orange signage.
Underground access doors are also marked on the maps for easy reference. Beware: the Underground is not a place for the faint of heart!
VEHICLES
Chuck is able to drive a variety of motorized vehicles around Fortune City to help him get where he’s going with more speed and less hassle.
The locations of these special vehicles area marked on this guide’s poster map for your reference. Here’s a look at the different vehicles Chuck can drive.
4x4s
4x4s are small utility trucks, and the most common vehicles in Fortune City. Driving one won’t make you feel very glamorous and they’re not particularly fast, but it beats having to trudge through endless waves of zombies.
Chuck needs no special item to use 4x4s—he can simply get in and go. This, combined with their abundance, makes 4x4s very useful.
Cars
Have you drooled over that sports car on display inside Royal Flush Plaza? How about the SUV inside the Silver Strip’s Shamrock Casino? Chuck can drive both of these vehicles, but he frst needs to acquire the keys.
Visit the pawnshop on Royal Flush Plaza’s second foor to find the keys to the sports car on sale for the low, low price of only $500,000.
Pop into Tinkerbox on the Silver Strip to purchase the SUV’s keys for a cool $2,000,000. Save up enough moola to buy these keys and you’ll be able to ride in style!
Choppers
Perhaps you’ve noticed the studly motorcycle that’s parked atop the slots at Yucatan Casino.
Chuck can drive this bad boy around after he drops down $1,000,000 to purchase its keys from the Army Surplus Gift Store on Palisades Mall’s second floor. Busting up a casino has never been so easy!
Another chopper can be found in the city’s Underground at Warehouse E. You don’t need to spend a dime to take this beauty out for a spin, so check it out!
Bikes and the Combo Bay
The chopper is great fun, but nothing beats Chuck’s motorbike. Defeat the psychopath leon Bell during the “meet the Contestants” side mission to acquire the keys to Chuck’s bike without spending a dime.
Beating Leon also gives you access to the Combo Bay, located at the Silver Strip’s north end.
The motorbike is the only vehicle that Chuck can customize with new paint jobs, and he can even affix certain weapons to the bike to make it far more deadly and fun.
The following table lists everything that you can combine with Chuck’s motorbike to transform it into a high-octane death machine.
