PSYCHO SNIPER 1: BIG EARL
As you pass through Fortune Park anytime after 9:00 AM on Day 3, the scene shifts to show a quartet of gun-toting psychopaths picking shots at innocent survivors from an elevated position.
You’ve most likely seen this scene already; the time has come to bring these villains down. Craft two spiked bats on your way out of the Safe House and mix up some Quick Steps at Shots & Awe, downing one on your way to the Platinum Strip.
Turn left as you enter the Platinum Strip and bolt toward Fortune Park. You catch sight of the first of the four psychos, Big Earl, who has taken position on the scaffolding to the right.
Dodge Earl’s gunfire as you streak toward his sniper perch; if you’ve learned the Dodge Roll technique, use it to avoid each shot more easily.
Don’t worry if you don’t have a ranged weapon; you’ll be confronting these psychos head-on.
Hop onto the white cement blocks at the base of Big Earl’s perch, using them to climb all the way up to the psycho. Time Earl’s gunshots so you aren’t hit while vaulting up to him.
Big Earl is dangerous at close range. He produces a deadly machete when you approach. He prefers to use his powerful rifle though, and will commonly flee to take aim from range.
Continue using the Dodge Roll skill to avoid Big Earl’s shots, or just circle around the psycho to avoid his bullets.
Each time Big Earl misses, make him pay dearly with your spiked bat. Pile on the damage to dispatch this psycho fast.
PSYCHO SNIPER 2: DEETZ
Deetz is stationed atop the roof of the Paradise Platinum Screens movie theater, which is directly across the strip from Big Earl’s perch.
Heal after dropping Big Earl, then cut across the strip, sprinting to the alley that runs behind Juggz Bar & Grill, where you discover a ladder.
Climb the ladder to reach Deetz’s rooftop— the coward won’t be expecting that. Rush Deetz and bust him up just as you did Big Earl. Keep the pressure on him and don’t relent until Deetz goes down.
PSYCHO SNIPER 3: JONNY
Descend the ladder after dispatching Deetz and then sprint through Fortune Park into the Silver Strip. Dash for the maintenance room to the left of the doors leading to Slot Ranch Casino, and scale the ladder you find near the maintenance room’s door.
The ladder leads to Royal Flush Plaza’s rooftop, where you discover a third sniper named Johnny. You should have the feel for these fights by now— lay waste to this psycho just as you did to the previous two, then chow down on the rooftop’s food before returning to the ground.
PSYCHO SNIPER 4: DERRICK
The final rooftop sniper, Derrick, has hunkered down atop the Atlantica Casino. To reach him, cut across the Silver Strip and enter the alley that’s just south of Hot Excitorama.
Follow the alley to its end, flinging open a door to locate a ladder.
Climb the ladder to confront Derrick on the roof, using the same tactics to eliminate this final sniper. Excellent work! Fortune City’s strips are now much safer thanks to your courage.
