Case 7-1: Bad to Worse

SPOILER : With the Safe House at last secured, Chuck decides to search around for Sullivan, who was strangely absent during the breach. Instead, he is surprised to find T.K. free from his handcuffs and being ravaged by a zombie straggler!

Acting on instinct, Chuck grabs a fire extinguisher and brains the zombie, saving T.K.’s worthless life. Of course, it’s now only a matter of time before the villain turns.

SPOILER : Back at the clinic, Chuck finds Sullivan nursing a nasty head wound. Apparently T.K. managed to get the better of the old rascal and may have been responsible for the security breach.

T.K. pleads with Chuck to find him some Zombrex—it can’t be long before his infection takes hold.

SPOILER : While deciding his next course of action, Chuck and his comrades catch a news brief that sends shivers up their spines.

The news is reporting that the military found no survivors at Fortune City, so they’re proceeding directly with their fall back plan: fire bombing the entire quarantine zone! The eradication is set to begin at precisely 7:00 AM.

SPOILER : Panic takes hold, but cooler heads prevail. Reviewing Rebecca’s footage of the military’s failed rescue effort, the crew notices that the mysterious gas had come from beneath the city.

Something very strange is going on in those tunnels, and although Sullivan doesn’t like the idea, Chuck is determined to investigate.

Note

You’ll now find queens flying about the Safe House in the wake of the zombie breach. Grab some if you like; they might come in handy. Don’t worry about T.K. for the moment. We’ll soon show you a convenient source of Zombrex.

SIDE MISSION: DELTA POINT 1

Scouring the Underground can wait a bit. Drop any fire arms you might be carrying, build a couple of fresh spiked bats on your way out of the Safe House, then sprint through Royal Flush Plaza on your way to Fortune Park.

Free of firearms, approach the two soldiers who are making a stand against an onslaught of undead near the park’s central grotto. Speak with the men to convince them to accompany Chuck back to the Safe House.

Caution

The soldiers will fire on Chuck if he’s carrying any sort of firearm. Don’t approach the men until you’ve dropped all of your guns!

One of the soldiers is wounded and can’t travel very fast. Lend him a shoulder and speed back to the Safe House, delivering these final two survivors to the bunker.

Note

Pat yourself on the back if you’ve followed the walkthrough flawlessly up to this point—you’ve just rescued every survivor in Fortune City!
