Sullivan can’t be allowed to escape—the blood of countless innocents is on his hands, including poor Rebecca’s. The madman must be made to pay for his heinous crimes.
Hurry out of the Safe House and into Royal Flush Plaza. Sullivan is nowhere in sight, and Chuck calls Stacey to ask if she can spot him. She promises to keep watch over the security monitors and let Chuck know if she sees the scoundrel.
GEARING UP
It goes without saying that you’ll need lots of powerful curatives on hand for the final battle. Take the short cut to Palisades Mall, mixing up as many Pain Killers as you can carry at the central grotto.
Long-range weapons are also vital to succeeding in the final encounter, so use this time to track some down.
There’s an LMG on one of the grotto’s lower grassy ledges, and two shot guns can be acquired from the High-Noon Shooting Range on Palisades Mall’s second floor.
You only need one good melee weapon to help you reach Sullivan, so fill the rest of Chuck’s inventory with ranged weapons and curatives.
The fire spitter combo weapon is another fine option against Sullivan. Find two tiki torches inside Palisades Mall’s central grotto and an endless supply of toy spitball guns with in the near by Ultimate Play house store.
Merge these together at any maintenance room to form a pair of fire spitters.
Stacey eventually pinpoints Sullivan’s location: He’s awaiting evac on the roof of the Yucatan Casino.
Streak off until you’re happy with your array of ranged weapons and curatives.
Sullivan has hacked the casino’s elevator to reach the rooftop. Eliminate the zombies inside the elevator, then use its interior control panel to ride up.
The lift doesn’t quite go all the way up to the roof—you need to fight your way through more zombies to get there. Use your lone melee weapon to beat the undead out of your path as you follow the guide arrow upstairs to a door.
Ensure that Chuck is in good health before passing through to reach the final battle.
SLAYING SULLIVAN
SPOILER : Up on the Yucatan’s roof, Sullivan passionately explains his motives for doing what he’s done.
The madman believes that the Fortune City outbreak, while tragic, has been for the greater good.
SPOILER : Chuck isn’t buying into Sullivan’s pathetic excuses. By assisting Phenotrans in their revolting scheme, the villain has been responsible for countless deaths.
He murdered Rebecca Chang in cold blood and would have done the same to Chuck if it hadn’t been for Stacey’s interference. Raymond Sullivan will be made to pay.
The fight against Sullivan is chaotic. Zombies get in your way on the ground, and Sullivan rains down bullets from his elevated central vantage, and he also tosses flares that cause the overhead gunship to fire devastating blasts.
To reduce the odds of being accosted by undead, scamper upon to the scaffolding near Sullivan’s perch.
Sullivan has a clear shot at you while you stand on the scaffolding, but he’s got a clear shot of you anywhere. Do your best to remain on the scaffolding as you unload your favorite ranged weapon on the villain.
Punish Sullivan as often as you can, holding the Aim button and tracking him as he tucks and rolls to avoid your long-range fire. When you need to heal, fall from your perch and hug Sullivan’s—this gives you the best chance of consuming food without being shot.
As long as you don’t run out of ammo, you shouldn’t have much trouble blasting Sullivan to bits. If all of your clips run dry, start throwing things at the villain—even an empty gun can deal some damage if you score a hit!
GAME OVER RAY
SPOILER : Having at last defeated the double crossing dog, Chuck uses the transceiver he stole from the underground lab technicians to call Rebecca Chang’s former employer, Channel 6 Action News, with the scoop of a lifetime.
SPOILER : With new evidence of lingering survivors, the military firebombing of Fortune City is temporarily withheld. It’s not long before evac choppers arrive instead, landing on the Safe House’s rooftop to whisk away the shaken survivors.
SPOILER : The rest of the tale depends on you, dear reader. If you failed to give T.K. his dose of Zombrex, then Chuck Greene’s fate becomes lost in the pages of history.
However, if you took mercy on the ungrateful game show host, turn the page to find out what lies in store for Chuck next....
