Disney Infinity Play Sets and Toy Box Worlds can be modified or customized through the use of Power Discs. These interactive discs are placed on the Disney Infinity Base to power up characters, grant unique abilities, customize the world, and provide exclusive toys. There are two distinct types of Power Discs: a circular disc and hexagonal-shaped disc. Circular Power Discs grant your character special power-ups that can be used in the Play Sets as well as in the Toy Box. Hexagonal Power Discs, on the other hand, unlock special gadgets, vehicles or mounts, and themes to help you personalize the Toy Box even more. By combining different Power Discs, you can get even more unique results.
Power Discs are sold in blind packs of two, and it is a mystery which ones you will receive. Furthermore, some Power Discs are rare (having a lower chance to be in each pack)—they have a special orange border to denote their rarity. The mystery of what is in each blind pack makes Power Discs very collectible and provides a great opportunity for people to swap them to try to collect them all.
