On the Ship O’ the Dead

The sunken ship island will only last for a short time. Disembark your ship and search the outlining area of the island for capsules before you make your way to the main path.
Bane From Beneath
- Mission Giver: Mr. Gibbs
- Type: Platforming
- Rewards: 2,000 Coins / 250 Sparks
Leap up a few ledges and climb up the ropes to the top tier. At the top, make sure to grab the Sunken Ship Theme in a capsule to the left.
Go up a few more ledges and use the Blunderbuss to blow away some pirates. Look out for the bomb-tossing turtle that has as much range with its bombs as you have with your gun.
Leap up another web of ropes and climb hand over hand to collect the Sunken Shipwreck Rear Hull from a red capsule. Leap up the ledge to find the chest with the next piece of the Kraken’s Bane.
Opening the chest allows you to collect Calypso’s Rage, which is one of several power-ups that can be placed on the ship to provide a new feature. This one allows you to create a storm that turns the sea against your enemy.

Grabbing the Kraken’s Bane will trigger the island to slowly start to sink, and it’s time to get out of there fast. Slide down a few wooden poles to get off the sinking island, but only after you have all five pieces of the Sunken Ship Theme.
Even though most of the island will sink, the challenge Scurry on the Shipwreck will still be available.
