Rescue Gibbs and the Map

Dock and Cover

  • Mission Giver: Automatic
  • Type: Sailing
  • Rewards: 50 Coins / 100 Sparks

Row the dinghy through town and find a safe place to dock. Simply follow the green compass arrow and you can’t miss it.

We Know Where Gibbs Be!

  • Mission Giver: Pintel and Ragetti
  • Type: Combat
  • Rewards: 50 Coins / 100 Sparks

Smash through the crates with your sword and speak to Pintel and Ragetti. They know where Mr. Gibbs is (in jail), and he is critical if you ever hope to sail on a boat larger than that dinghy. Follow the men and take aim with your Flintlock Pistol to shoot open the gate.

Keeping following the men until you run into an ambush. There are three enemies to deal with, but some quick swordplay will wipe them all out while Pintel and Ragetti work on unlocking the next gate.

Rescue Master Gibbs!

  • Type: Platforming

  • Wii Rewards: 250 Coins / 100 Sparks

Mr. Gibbs is being held in the fort’s prison tower. Run through the open gate and follow the compass up several staircases.

Wait for the convenient cannonball that blows away the debris blocking your path, and shoot the lock to open a gate.

Keep climbing the stairs while wiping out small waves of enemies until you finally get to the tower that Mr. Gibbs is being held in. Climb up the metal ledges near the blue tutorial capsule and work your way up and to the left around the trestle.

Finally, drop down over the doorway and shoot open the lock on the door to set Mr. Gibbs free. Make sure to run inside the cell to grab the Vengeance Mid Hull capsule that is needed for a side mission.

The Map’s Hiding Place

  • Mission Giver: Mr. Gibbs (automatic)
  • Type: Platforming
  • Rewards: 50 Coins / 100 Sparks

Davy Jones is looking for the map, but luckily only Mr. Gibbs knows where it is at. Follow Mr. Gibbs and the green compass arrows to slide down a long rail.

The map is hidden in a cave above Mr. Gibbs’ location. To get there, grab on to the thin edges in the mountainside and leap up to the cave.

Unfortunately, you are a bit slow retrieving the map and Maccus, a hammerhead-looking beast, grabs the map for Davy Jones. Grab the red capsule that holds the Vengeance Front Hull next to the mapless chest.

Slew of Side Missions

I Wants to be a Navigator

  • Mission Giver: Educated Townsperson
  • Type: Customize
  • Rewards: 50 Coins / 50 Sparks

A well-educated man has studied the stars and maps and is ready to join a crew as a navigator. The only problem is he doesn’t look the part. Not far from the man is a shop, next to a blue tutorial capsule, that can change people’s appearance. However, before he can truly look like a navigator you need the proper customizations. The navigator’s hats and body pieces are located near the Challenge beacon. One is under an awning near a lamppost and the other is next to the staircase. The last piece of this puzzle is just around the corner of the customizing shop. Pick the man up and throw him into the shop to change is body, head, and hat into a navigator.

Treasure Outside of Town

  • Mission Giver: Pintel and Ragetti
  • Type: Locate
  • Rewards: 200 Coins / 50 Sparks

There’s a treasure hidden just outside of town and a quick pan of the camera gives you a clue. Use the compass to track the treasure near an archway on the beach.

Heavy Sleeper

  • Mission Giver: Pirate Townsperson (Man 1)
  • Type: Delivery/Fetch
  • Rewards: 50 Coins / 50 Sparks

A lazy pirate complains about not wanting to do anything, but at least he is kind enough to offer the cure to his dilemma. He says the only way to motive him is to toss him in the water. Oblige the man by picking him up and throwing him into the water.

Rid Us O’ Them Crates!

  • Mission Giver: Pirate Townsperson (Man 1)
  • Type: Destroy
  • Rewards: 50 Coins / 50 Sparks

The lazy townsperson was true to his word and a quick dunk brought him back with another mission. The man is upset about the East India Trading Company trying to set up port in his town. He wants you to destroy all five EITC crates. The closest one is right next to a red capsule with the Vengeance Rear Hull.

The next one is on a balcony in back of the building where you just smashed the first crate.

Slide across a rail to the top of a building with a red capsule that has the Vengeance Sails. Leap down to the thatched roof and jump to the balcony to find the third crate.

Go over the nearby bridge with the red smoldering wreckage and leap down the side to find the fourth one.

This final one is a short distance away at the edge of a water wheel.

Ye Own Quest

  • Mission Giver: Pirate Townsperson (Man 2)
  • Type: Locate
  • Rewards: 50 Coins / 50 Sparks

If the last treasure wasn’t exciting enough, now there is a special treasure with your very face on it. This treasure is actually a Vault/Chest but you don’t have to open it, just get close. It is by the blue tutorial capsule.

Treasure on the Trusses

  • Mission Giver: Pirate Townsperson (Man 2)
  • Type: Locate
  • Rewards: 50 Coins / 50 Sparks

One of the men rebuilding the fort mentioned that he saw treasure in the scaffolding. The chest you are looking for is near your ship and is not too far off. Jump down from your location and leap around the blockade on the stairs. Climb up the wooden scaffolding to locate the pirate chest.

Time Has Stopped

  • Mission Giver: Pirate Townsperson (Woman)
  • Type: Locate
  • Rewards: 50 Coins / 50 Sparks

Davy Jones destroyed the clock tower, and for some reason this woman wants to see it but can’t get there. Pick her up like a human taxi and carry her there.

Time For Vengeance

  • Mission Giver: Pirate Townsperson (Woman)
  • Type: Locate
  • Rewards: 50 Coins / 50 Sparks

After seeing the clock tower, the woman mentions that if you collect all five parts of the ship Vengeance from red capsules, you can customize your own ship to look just like it. At this point you should have four parts, and the last one is by your ship. Climb up a pole to reach a high platform and rail slide across to find the Vengeance Theme on the other side.
