A new reverse race track (Track B) is now open to celebrate the re-beautification of Radiator Springs. Compete in the new reverse race going up against Shu Todoroki and take the number one spot! This is a relatively short race with only two laps, so there is not a lot of time to get comfortable on the track. On your first attempt, just get familiar with the course and don’t feel pressured to win. Once you have a good understanding of its alternate paths and turbo boosting areas it will be a lot easier to win.

The ramps are fun for a thrill, but they don’t always provide an edge in racing. Soaring through the air is slower than using a turbo in a straightaway and landing might not put you in a good position to collect turbo cans.

Look for any spot to cut corners where you can avoid a decent amount of the track. However, make sure to drift into corners and use the speed of turbo on rough terrains.

A fully upgraded turbo will provide four bars of speed-boosting power. There is no reason to hold on to that race-winning speed for too long, but it is a good idea to save one meter towards the end. Often a last lap turbo boost at the end can be used to steal a victory in a come-from-behind photo finish.

Francesco Bernoulli has arrived on the scene and he’s set up a race with trick barrels scattered around the track. This race is between you and the Italian sports car. It is the same reverse course you just beat Shu Todoroki on, so it should be very familiar. This race is only two laps, but it is a lot more treacherous due to all the explosive red-and-yellow-striped barrels.

Avoid the main central path, as that is usually a prime spot for barrels. Also, be careful of ramps that can land you in a bad spot right in front of a group of explosive problems. Stick to the outside areas to collect turbo boosts and avoid the road hazards Francesco has left for you.
