Several members of Hamm’s Alien research team have been studying the effects of goo to see if they can use it to defend their colony. Help out their efforts by collecting twenty globs of Purple Goo. It can be tricky to find all twenty of these, but the compass arrow will always point you in the right direction. To make this task a lot easier, make sure you have the jetpack and the rocket booster. Below are the locations of all the pretty piles of Purple Goo scattered around the Canyon.

Crate Claim
Mission Giver: Buzz Lightyear Alien
Type: Fetch
Rewards: 250 Crystals / 100 Sparks
Wii Reward: 50 Crystals
With just a little over a minute on the clock you have to really fly (literally) to complete this task on time. The first crate is easy enough to collect as it is nearby at the top of the depression leading to Goo Valley.
Little crate number two is on a ledge to the west of the Shield Generator. You can’t get to it directly, so fly towards it, but pass by it to get to a pair of ledges that you can jump up to. Grab the crate quickly and fly back to the green target drop spot.
The final crate is out at the Waterfall area. Do a double jump off the edge of the City and fly over to collect and return the crate.
Thinking of Andy
Mission Giver: Buzz Lightyear Alien
Type: Customize
Rewards: 250 Crystals / 100 Sparks
You must customize a building with Andy’s Room Wall 1 paint and place Andy’s Wagon at any decoration slot.
To find the wall paint, get the red capsule at the top of the little waterfall west of the Shield Generator.
The wagon you require is on a tall stack of crates to the left of the entrance to Goo Valley.
Speedy Delivery
Mission Giver: Buzz Lightyear Alien
Type: Sight Fetch
Rewards: 250 Crystals / 100 Sparks
Wii Reward: 100 Crystals
This is by far the toughest crate challenge in the game. If you make a mistake just abort and restart. Also, make sure to use the jetpack to move around the City as fast as possible as you will need every second in this 1 minute and 30 second challenge! Fly out to the edge of the water and use the rocket booster to leap to the first crate in the Waterfall area.
Leap off the edge of the City and fly towards the Canyon to collect the next crate. Make sure to land slightly to the left to bump into a ridge that will stop you quickly and safely.
The last crate is a long way out in the Waterfall area and time will be really tight. Leap off the City’s edge again over the water and fly directly out to the tiny floating rock. Make sure to land to the right to break your momentum. Pick up the crate and blaze a trail flying all the way back to the green drop circle to make it just in time.
