Mission: Onward to Santeroule

While Relia recovers from the exhaustion caused by the use of her heroic powers, Fiore examines the girl. She concludes that it’s signeturgy, but none that she’s ever seen. She suggests there’s someone even more qualified than her who can help solve the mystery, and that someone resides in the capital of Langdauq. Daril, believing Relia to be an answer to the war, asks Fidel to escort Fiore and Relia to Santeroule.

Action Checklist

  1. Optional: Undertake and complete side quests
  2. Optional: Begin the Find Ruddle! quest
  3. Optional: Accept the Grand Designs quest from Welch
  4. Travel east to Myiddok and sleep at the inn
  5. Traverse the West of the Eastern Eihieds zone

Mission Walkthrough

After some time, Relia wakes up from her signeturgy-induced coma. Your next mission is to take Relia and Fiore to Santeroule, where Fiore believes a genius scholar of signeturgy can identify the nature of Relia’s power.

Eastbound

You’ve lost some physical firepower with Victor leaving the party, but you’ve gained an excellent spell-caster in Fiore. Make sure to equip her with a new set of roles, including Shrewd Overseer and Invoker. These roles significantly enhance offensive-based signeturgical attacks.

Before returning east, venture west and farther into the valley to open a chest with Coal in it. Turn around and head back to Central Resulia to rest up and save your progress.

Remember those Physical Stimulants that you picked up earlier? You can turn one in at the bulletin board for the Mother’s Medicine quest. In return, you’re rewarded with an Energy Amulet—an accessory that boosts max HP by 500! There are a few more side quests here you can undertake, as well.

A notable quest to accept here is Find Ruddle!. It’s the first quest in a series of quests throughout the game. When the entire quest line is completed, an invaluable merchant becomes available. However, this manhunt can be a serious pain, considering Ruddle’s elusiveness.

Optional: Tasks

Where’s Ruddle?

The Ruddle quest line is a bit different than the other bulletin board quests you’re given. For whatever reason, someone is always looking for this particular individual. To make things more difficult, he has a problem with staying still! The first clue to finding Ruddle lies within the Central Resulian inn, Ye Grand Ole Castle of Comfort. When someone has information about Ruddle, you’ll see a yellow star on your minimap. Talk to these people to find out what Ruddle’s been up to and where he’s going, then follow his trail.

Recon Made Easy

Completing the Subjugation Directive: Dek side quest rewards you with the Lookout specialty. When unlocked, this specialty displays enemy positions on your minimap. It’s an exceptionally convenient tool to have as you explore new areas, allowing you to plan ahead for preemptive attacks.

Side Quests

Central Resulia
Find Ruddle!
Trauma to Go
The Four Stooges
Subjugation Directive: Dek
Welch’s Laboratory
Grand Designs

When you’re ready for the expedition to Santeroule, make your way to Myiddok. As you approach the trade city, Fiore mentions an arduous mountain climb ahead and insists that the party takes a moment to rest in Myiddok.

If you’re caught up in Welch’s crafting quest line, you can accept a new one before you visit the inn. With Fiore in the party, you can undertake Grand Designs.

Unfortunately, most side quests are blocked off for now; the Dakaav Footpath and Coast of Minoz are inaccessible until you finish your business in Santeroule.

In the meantime, enter Myiddok and rest up at the inn, courtesy of Fiore. This triggers a cutscene with some mysterious men attempting to ambush the crew. The party escapes through the window, and you’re forced to exit to the east of Myiddok. Seems like your assailants are connected to the two spacemen who were trying to take Relia.
