Mission Walkthrough

The King’s Chosen

It’s time to report in to the mayor to tell him what’s transpired so far over the course of your journey to the capital. Head north into the Mayor’s Manse.

It seems that Victor beat you to it. He’s here with his elite Resulian squad, the King’s Chosen, who were ordered by Daril to provide aid to Sthal. After leaving the Mayor’s Manse, meet up with Victor and his officers to the west to join the King’s Chosen in infiltrating the Eitalon base.

Head back out to the Dakaav Footpath, where you’re introduced to a tutorial on Reserve Rushes. Read these carefully because the Reserve Rush system is an extremely useful mechanic to take advantage of. Not only can you unleash devastating combos on your enemies with Fidel and Victor, but you can flip a losing battle on its head by unleashing party-wide heals and raises (with Miki’s Arcadia).

After the tutorial, Victor introduces the party to his subordinates, Hana and Gunter. If you haven’t saved your game yet, do so now at the save point across the bridge. Trek along north until Victor mentions his spymaster running a reconnaissance mission. You’ll meet Daks, who leads you to the Eitalon base. Follow him northbound. If you haven’t looted the chest here in the middle of the area, there’s an Energy Bracelet inside. Pick it up, and then follow Daks northwest into an alcove, where he opens a secret entrance to the Eitalon base.

Eitalon Extermination

Deeper into the base, there’s a chest containing Holy Water x 2 if you look to your right. Follow the tunnel south, defeating any Eitalons and lizards in the way. The path eventually bends westward, where you’ll encounter an empty enemy encampment.

Seems that there’s another hidden door somewhere; the only way the Eitalons could have escaped is through an escape route. In the northwest area of the room, it looks like Miki’s on to something. As she opens a secret passage, Eitalon troops flee from the scene.

Before chasing the Eitalons, if you enter a thin tunnel northeast of the empty encampment, you’ll find two chests here: one locked and one unlocked. Open the unlocked one for a copy of Swordsman’s Manual V, which you can use to unlock Death Palm for Fidel or Flying Guillotine for Victor. You can come back for the locked chest later when you have the Lock Picking specialty available. There are several Eitalon forces here, along with a new type of enemy, the Eitalon Spellslinger. Defeat these forces until you reach the waterfall at the end of the path.

Now go back to the hidden escape path and prepare to fight your way north!

Here, you face off with the Eitalon Leader. Before you engage, heal up if you need to.

Eitalon’s Leader

Eitalon’s Leader

The leader has a powerful firearm that you should avoid as best as possible. Keep moving, using your guard-dash to maneuver around while your other party members, including the ever-so-helpful King’s Chosen, eliminate the Eitalon underlings. You can take control of either Fidel or Victor to flank Eitalon’s Leader. He’ll take aim and try to unleash his blasts at you, but if you sidestep often enough, you should make it difficult for him to land his shots.

Once your team members cull the weaker Eitalons, they’ll focus their efforts on the leader, and you’ll eventually be successful in liberating your hometown from danger. Congratulations on a mission well executed! Now to head on home.

Head back to Sthal the same way you came. The mayor, Ted, and the other villagers welcome your return and rejoice when they hear of the good news. Additionally, the strange girl you saved earlier has regained consciousness, so go check on her. Aside from her name, she seems to have lost her memory of everything else. Maybe Fiore can help. Leave Fidel’s House and make your way toward the Dakaav Footpath, where you’ll run into Victor. He accepts the request to escort the party to Central Resulia in hopes of reuniting with Fiore. Go back to Fidel’s House, where Miki, of course, insists on coming along.

After she gathers her things and the party leaves Fidel’s home, a tutorial is displayed regarding Relia.

You can meet up with Victor again by the west exit, where he rejoins your party as an escort back to the capital. After your farewell to Ted, you can take the Dakaav Footpath back to Central Resulia. But first, go back to Fidel’s House to rest up and save your game. When you leave the house, you can witness some available Private Actions.
