As you leave, Victor gives the party a synopsis of the war between the two kingdoms of Resulia and Trei’kur. He also mentions that Trei’kur has procured a new weapon of war, which Fiore has been sent to investigate.

Your destination is marked with a red star on your map, and it’s relatively close.

However, now’s a good time to explore the scenery while collecting treasure and resources, especially if you’ve unlocked the Harvesting, Fishing, and Excavation specialties.

Most of the chests and harvest points lie along the edges of the map, so run along the mountainsides picking up anything you find. Notable loot includes Blackberry Potion x 2, Olive Oil x 2, Iron x 5, an Acuity Potion, 416 Fol, Fortitude Potion x 2, a Light Charm, a copy of Solar Signets, Vol. 1, Fresh Sage x 2, and some Health Seeds. Refer to the map preceding this text for exact locations of items.

This is also a convenient time to farm up some EXP and SP while you have Fiore in your party. She’s most likely the strongest character in your group in terms of damage output, so take advantage of this while you can before you escort her back to the capital.

When you’ve collected everything that there is to collect on this side of the plains, you can finish escorting Fiore into Central Resulia.

Optional: Help Wanted: Bulletin Board Quests

You’ll find your first bulletin board in Central Resulia, just across from the inn near the center of the city. The quests listed on the boards can be done at any point in the game, with more popping up as you progress further into the story. If you’re eager to unlock specialty skills while earning EXP, Fol, and SP, be sure to complete all of these mini quests during your travels around Faykreed! These side objectives generally consist of item-collecting and monster-hunting tasks. Many of the collection tasks can be turned in as soon as you undertake them (provided that you have the items), like the two initial quests here in the capital.

See Daril, Resulian Military Adviser

Head to the destination near the castle steps to trigger a cutscene with Fidel’s father, Daril. He refuses Fidel’s request for aid because of the need for troops in Resulia and pleads with his son to return home to defend Sthal. Fidel and Miki have no choice but to turn back empty-handed. Victor suggests that they take a shorter route home, through the Dakaav Footpath. After the cutscene, you’ll see a tutorial message regarding characters leaving the party. Fiore and Victor depart from the group, so Fidel and Miki are left to make a trek back to the seaside village, bearing the bad news.

There are a couple of chests lying around in plain sight here in Resulia. Just west of the castle steps is a chest containing an Energy Crest. Just southeast from the castle is another chest, hosting a bottle of Holy Water. There’s one more chest inside the Ye Grand Ole Castle of Comfort inn, inside the northern guest room. You’ll find a piece of Charred Meat in it. This is the only one in the entire game, and it’s required for a quest you can undertake later on. Do not eat it if you want to complete the Revenge is a Dish Best Served Burnt quest!

Additionally, if you enter and leave the inn, you’ll see a whistle icon floating within a golden circle just outside of the inn. Stepping into the gold circle triggers the Private Actions event. Go ahead and step into it, prompting a Private Actions tutorial ( If this is your first Private Actions event). Looks like you only have one with Miki in Central Resulia so far, indicated by the diamonds in the lower-right corner of the screen. When you’re done, look for the golden circle again and step inside it to end the Private Actions event.

Private Actions

There’s not much else to do here, so leave Central Resulia the way you came and make your way south, toward the Dakaav Footpath. You can equip any roles the departing members left behind on to Fidel and Miki for a slight boost in battle efficiency. You can also gather any chests and harvest points you’ve missed in the Resulian Plains before leaving.
