Verdant grasslands overrun a Forerunner facility suspended on the edge of the world.
Tips
This map’s most intriguing feature comes in the form of two healing pylons. These devices offer constant healing to any units within their spheres of influence, and they can be a big help before you’re able to produce support units.
The pylons are located on opposite edges of the map, so it may not always be possible (or practical) to heal all your damaged units, but a well-timed visit to a healing pylon can keep your starting forces active and productive while you work to develop your army. It’s also worth noting that resource pickups are located near both pylons, so early visits can be particularly beneficial.
As usual, the center of the map holds the highest concentration of resource pickups. If you favor early expansion, designate a member of your team to claim one (or both) of the minibase building sites near the center of the map. Use whatever units the remaining teammates can spare to support this expansion attempt. You’re sure to meet resistance—even if the opposing team hangs back, you still have to deal with Forerunner drones. As your team reinforces this forward push, send damaged units to the nearest pylon for some emergency healing.
Many of the available expansion base slots are located close to Control Points and/or Resource Nodes. As you continue to expand, prioritize these sites. Again, the healing pylons make it much safer for small forces to capture key locations. If you’re not prepared to hold a captured location, send your units off for healing as soon as they finish their task. Even if an opponent seizes the Point/Node, you receive the short-term benefits without compromising the strength of your army.
