To help you to familiarize yourself with each arena, the maps that follow reveal the layout of the destinations you will visit. They also include the positions of all points of interest, such as Chase Breakers and elements exclusive to certain game modes.
Boston Harbor
- When attempting to escape a pursuer, avoid running along the quay. The entire area is rather linear and offers few opportunities to break line of sight.
- The busy square on the steps of the church offers plenty of blending spots and moving crowds for social stealth, but is open and exposed when your cover is broken.
- Aerial kills, Pistol exchanges and even assassinations from ledges are a frequent feature of the upper routes, so watch the skyline.
New York Brewery
- This map can be incredibly hectic in Deathmatch, as it’s small and features two floor levels. This means that it’s easy to establish the general location of your opponent, but without necessarily knowing where they are. The Blender Perk is vital here: use it while you blend on the upper floor as a defensive precaution.
- The many gangways and balconies make perfect spots for Focused assassinations and aerial kills on targets below and nearby.
- You will often find that your target is at a different elevation on this map. Don’t be impatient: if you climb a wall to take a shortcut, you will draw unnecessary attention to yourself.
- This map is possibly easier than others in Wolfpack because of the numerous angles and obstacles that can potentially mask your approach.
Northwest Passage
- If you reach a vantage point on this map, you can have a clear view of almost the entire map. This can be good to identify incoming pursuers, for instance, but the downside is that you may have a hard time knowing for sure who your target is if you have more than one lookalike in your line of sight.
- Games played on this map can be very intense in Deathmatch and Simple Deathmatch modes. Use the various hiding places, benches and static blend groups to pounce on passing targets for Hidden Kill bonuses.
- You do not have access to any rooftops per se on this map, which keeps the action largely on the ground. Even without rooftops, you may learn to lose your pursuer by squeezing through the crowds. It is faster to weave between civilians than to use the Shove move.
- This map is fairly difficult in Wolfpack because of the many open areas that make stealthy approaches problematic.
Fort Wolcott
- Use the many gangways and balconies to your advantage. While this might provide opportunities to air assassinate your target, being on high ground will sometimes help you to spot pursuers. A citizen halting for no reason below your position is most likely a rival attempting to ascertain your exact location.
- This map features haystacks that are handily located near closing gates. Running through these Chase Breakers and hiding immediately as you arrive on the other side can be very effective, and may offer an opportunity to stun your pursuer. However, it should go without saying that experienced players will often anticipate this…
- Any high profile action on the gallows plaza is likely to lead to immediate detection, though incoming pursuers are very easy to identify in such an open space. Rush inside one of the surrounding buildings to shake off anyone on your tail.
Boston North End
- Moderately high buildings are found on either side of most streets on this map, granting an excellent vantage point for spotting your prey. Use the Lifts to reach these elevated positions if the coast is clear: climbing, while comparatively silent, makes you too easy to see.
- The width of the streets sometimes makes it difficult to navigate efficiently at rooftop level.
- This map may be easier than others in Wolfpack because of the numerous angles and obstacles that protect potential approach routes.
Animus Core
- The Animus-like portions of the map offer plenty of opportunities to escape a pursuer. Not only can you easily break their line of sight by taking advantage of corners and multiple floor levels, but you also have access to all kinds of Chase Breakers.
- On the plaza with the lanterns, try to use the hiding places that are close to groups of citizens. Nearby lookalikes will make it harder for other players to be certain as they attempt to intuit your location.
- With both a hiding place and a blending opportunity, as well as many possible exit points via the archways, the inside of the city hall building is a great place to set a trap.
Virginian Plantation
- If you take to the rooftops, don’t forget that this map features many small indoors sections. If your target is inside one of them, do not be confused by the fact that you cannot see them even though your compass is filled.
- This map is rather difficult in Wolfpack, as its many open areas make it hard to stalk your targets discretely.
