Reach the Copper Mill
It’s morning again when Lara wakes. She’s inside a cave, not too far from the Hidden Refuge Base Camp. Go outside the cave and use that camp. You can Fast Travel to other camps in the area if you want to get south faster.
Your objective is at the bottom of the map, but there are also new Missions available now. If you return to the Logging Camp base, you can start The Unlucky Ones at this time. There is also a man who starts a mission near the lumber mill.
When you’re done with Missions and collecting, hunt for your next objective on the southern end of this map. A path leads you there, so it isn’t hard to reach your target.
Approach the old copper mill and pause to look at the grim sight by the main entrance. Something isn’t right in this place.
Climb the Copper Mill to Reachthe Mine Entrance
Use the Base Camp to the right (Copper Mill Yard) so that you can get here in the future without having to run across the wilderness. Explore the area and gather a few collectibles if you haven’t been here before. There is a Monolith in the courtyard, a Relic (Medal) inside the first building, and a Mural to the east. There is a Document in an abandoned train car (Glorious Discovery) on the western end of the yard.
After searching around, climb onto the trains in the southern part of the yard. One of them has a yellow ladder leading onto its roof. Jump from there onto the building to your north, and start making your way up toward the objective to the northeast. Do this by destroying a Rope barrier that is above you, on the right. Then, jump onto a yellow ladder above the current building and climb to a platform. Jump to the right to reach the main part of the mill.
Go inside the new platform and look for a Document (First Kill). That room also has some Salvage and a ladder that leads up. You hear voices when you reach the top, and indeed there are Trinity forces here.
Kill the men in the room with explosives and then gunfire to finish the job. Search for ammo, and then climb a small bridge toward an upper floor. There is a hidden Tomb entrance in this area, if you’re up for the challenge! To access the Tomb, climb onto the platforms above and behind your current position. Drop down into the locked area below, and proceed from there.
When you’re done, or if you choose to skip the Tomb for now, return to this area. Make a Molotov to burn through the canvas barrier on this platform and go into the building through your new entrance.
Search for crafting supplies and a Relic inside that room.
Look for an opening on the main floor and stand next to a Rope Coil there. Shoot a hanging Rope Coil ahead of you to swing across the gap, and jump down on the other side. Use your Bow and Rope to pull down debris in front of Lara, and then jump toward the objective.
Make a precarious walk across ancient scaffolding, and jump onto a rocky wall as soon as you can. Use your Axes to shift left along the cliff, and pull yourself to the top when you see a platform above. Climb a water tower and jump onto the building across from Lara. Trinity men are up here, so hang onto the ledges until you get a good opportunity to climb up and ambush the Soldier who is talking on his radio.
Assassinate the Soldier and go into the room on your left. Cross the damaged beams and vault through the opening on the right to get onto more solid ground.
A Strongbox is on that platform, but it’s locked. You can only open it if you get the Lock Pick from the first Mission in this region. You get another Bow upgrade if you open this, so hopefully you have that Lock Pick in your inventory!
Walk to the edge of that platform and look southeast across the area. There are two Coils that you can connect. Do so and zip line to the lower section. A fight breaks out between Lara and a legion of armed Soldiers. Take cover and deal with this contingent of Trinity. Because you have so many places to hide, the battle isn’t too bad. Switch between cover if any grenades come your way, and snipe your targets. Don’t stay out in the open, and don’t charge anyone for melee attacks here (they have too much backup).
A couple of the targets are in elevated positions on the next building, around the bend. Kill them and then jump to some handholds on that building. Shimmy around the right side, pull yourself up, and search for a Document. If anyone is still alive over there, this route flanks them quite well. Go ahead and search their bodies if they’re already dead.
Take more handholds up toward the highest tier of the building. You find a Document up top. A Relic is on a ledge across from there. It’s reachable if you jump from the top of the ramp and catch yourself on the way down.
Collect the nearby items and then look for a hanging Rope Coil at the edge of the main platform. Swing across to the next ledge and go inside while you talk to Jacob on the radio. It’s dark in there, but you can still see a little. Jump to the top of a metal pillar in the corner and follow the voices. Trinity is close by.
Regroup With Jacob
Two Soldiers and an Armored Trooper are chatting away in the next room. Hide as they talk, and line up your attack. A Shrapnel Grenade would work wonders, and there are Cans in the area. Failing that, ranged headshots let you eliminate the Armored Trooper before he knows to dodge, and then his companions are easy pickings. There is also a gas generator next to the men, and shooting that causes a huge amount of chaos. You have so many options!
Kill the men and use fire (from a Molotov) to destroy the barrier and ignite leaking gas on the right side of the room.
Wait for the immediate fire in front of you to die down before continuing. Duck through the smoky hallway, and pull out your Assault Rifle or another good ranged weapon. Several Soldiers attack from decent points of cover as you advance, and a fast weapon ensures that you can put them down before they become a huge threat.
Ammunition is everywhere; put multiple rounds into each new target if you’re at all worried, because you are often going to find even more ammo than you can use. The enemies have Assault Rifles and grenades, so they’re able to toss plenty of damage in your direction too. Back away to heal if you’re starting to have issues.
This fire is making things hard for everyone, but you have to keep advancing. The room at the top of the inferno has only a few Soldiers at first. Take them down and wait for the door to open. Two Defenders enter, and another guy up top comes in to throw grenades at you.
Beating that battle effectively finishes the map. You only have to climb to the top of the building and form a Rope line to get out of there before the entire place burns down. Zip to a lower spot and meet Jacob. He leads you into the Abandoned Mines.
