Lara Croft is rightfully called an archeologist and an explorer, but she has also proven herself to be a survivor, first and foremost. Well educated in England, she was still not prepared when she came into the Dragon’s Triangle aboard a ship called the Endurance. The area had a reputation for extremely violent storms, and the Endurance crashed on an island called Yamatai. There, Lara had to hunt, survive the elements, and even kill. The experience hardened her, but it also left her with many questions.
Lara’s father, Lord Richard James Croft, was also an archeologist. He was discredited in academia for his wild theories, but Lara’s time on Yamatai gave her insight into her father’s pursuits. She too has been ignored and discredited, but she needs to know who’s behind these attacks and why they’re coming after her.
The answers she seeks are hidden in a lost city known as Kitezh, somewhere in the Siberian wilderness.
