Beating the main story isn’t the only way to master Rise of the Tomb Raider. It’s actually more like the beginning. The Expeditions system is there to let you replay specific sections of the game, but this time you have to make it through as quickly and efficiently as possible. You earn credits for doing this, and can earn Cards and Challenges to push your gameplay even further. Scores are tracked, and that’s how you are able to compete with yourself and with other players.
In this chapter, we go through all of the Expedition levels to give you tips on improving your runs through them. Each level can be played in Score Attack, Chapter Replay, or Chapter Replay Elite mode. Replays are just like the main game, only you won’t have high-end gear or skills. Elite Replay lets you bring your upgraded skills and equipment into the mix.
Score Attack is different because it adds entirely new aspects to the game. You have to move quickly, chain together actions to get the best score, and avoid taking damage (because that breaks your chain). You start each area with a Time Bonus which you must work hard to keep. Move too slowly and your bonus turns into a penalty against your final score.
