Rise of the Tomb Raider eGuide Collecting Treasures Glacial Cavern

Glacial Cavern Tombs

Ice ship

A small wooden post lets you jump to a ledge that’s to your north. Climb up there and approach the frozen galley that Lara noticed when she came into the cavern. Cross the ledge and make the frightening jump to the mast of the ship. Get onto the safer platform ahead as soon as you can.

Turn the crank that’s there, and then search the deck for a Document. Get it and then climb onto a higher section of the mast. Go all the way around the outer edge of the outcropping, and leap onto the bucket that’s close by; that’s the one that you lowered with the crank.

The bucket bangs into the wall, smashing ice off of a climbable area. Carefully jump off of the makeshift pendulum when it comes to rest, and then use the new climbing section to get yourself higher on the ship.

The second stage of this is tougher. You have to turn a crank on the upper area to lower another bucket on the left side of everything. Run out onto the mast to get closer to the bucket as it starts to rise again. Leap onto it before the bucket gets too far away, and smash it against the other side of the ship. More ice breaks off, and you can soon climb up that!

Get to the very top of the ship. It’s a simple route now, and you don’t have to beat any more puzzles. You find Coins on the ground, an Archivist Map to reveal Documents, Relics, and Murals in an area, and then even more impressive treasures. There is an exciting Document to read. And finally, you should open the Codex that is surrounded by wealth. Lara learns a special skill called Ancient Abilities because of this. Wonderful rewards for your hard work here. This is the end of the Tomb. A zip line takes you back to the main portion of the map (it’s on the right side of the ship).

Ancient Abilities lets you fire two successive arrows without delay.
