the forge’s Crypt
Only a few feet west from Hidden Refuge is a Crypt. These are special Caves that have rare and powerful treasures inside of them. Break open a damaged wall to go deeper into the cavern, and watch the floor while you descend down a long hallway. There are more Coins to grab as you go.
There’s a Mural at the bottom of the stairs. Look at that, and take the corridor to the right. You can see through an opening into the main room of the Crypt, but you can’t get there quite yet. You have to go around the hard way.
The right hallway goes into a water-filled room. Drop into the water and search a platform on the right for a Document. Take a narrow channel around the back of the room. This gets you to a platform that rises out of the water and around to a higher tier of the chamber.
Take the only way forward, into the top of the Crypt’s main room. Drop down to the Sarcophagus below, open it, and then leave with your ancient plunder.
the astronomer’s Crypt
Most people are going to pass this Crypt by the first time they go through the Soviet Installation. It’s hidden inside a crack in the rocks. To find it, return to Installation Vista’s Base Camp. Walk east along the path, but look for a break in the rocks along the southern wall. Slip in there to find the Crypt entrance.
Inside, you find several sets of free Coins. This place is amazing for that, being one of the better sites in the early game.Break through a damaged wall in the first room of the cave system, and look at a Mural on your way down into the Crypt.
You quickly come down into a room with a small pit in the center (it’s not a fatal drop if you fall in). Jump across the gap onto the far ledge to find a Document. Read that, and then jump back to the other side of the pit.
The side route off of that room goes into darkness. Use your Survival Instincts to see a bit better, and search the two routes that go in opposite directions. One leads to a room with some Coins, and the other gets you to the Sarcophagus. Make sure to get two more piles of Coins from the Sarcophagus room.
Leave the Crypt once you’ve looted everything you can.
