After the credits, you’ll have the option to save the game or continue. Either way, the next time you load this save file, you’re back in Laharl’s Castle and you’ve got a number of new options.
Defeating Xenolith unlocks Love Potion Practice and Weapon Assembly in the Demon’s Dojo, which are the last two options on its menu. Weapon Assembly is particularly useful, as a character who undergoes that method of training has a chance to randomly improve one of his or her Aptitudes by 1% after a successful battle.
The Cheat Shop has updated to include the Auto-Heal at Base option, which saves you the trip to the Netherworld Hospital upon returning from a battle, and the dangerous but profitable LoC Mode. The minimum multiplier at the Cheat Shop has finally dropped to zero, and the maximum is now 200%.
Flonne has reverted to her original state, thus losing the Extreme Love skill, and Barbara has quietly excused herself from your roster. (You’ll find her again on Orders Received.) Etna has received a second Evility, The Last Majin, which improves her stats by 100% if you don’t field any units besides her and Prinnies. This Evility will be overwritten if you give her a second one through Demon Connect, but it reappears if you pass a bill to delete that Evility.
Finally, you’ve got access to a number of new proposals in the Dark Assembly. This includes I Wanna Be Friends and I Wanna Be Enemies, which allow you to bypass the Demon Connect system to artificially improve or decrease two characters’ Likability with each other by one heart.
Laharl, Flonne, and Etna can all pass bills in the Dark Assembly that revert them to their altered forms, complete with Laharl’s and Flonne’s altered Evilities. It’s cheap and easy for Laharl to make the switch, with a very high chance that it’ll pass, but it’s expensive and difficult to switch back. It appears that Lady Laharl’s most fanatical fans are all Senators. Flonne has a slightly harder time passing a bill to change, which one would expect, since Pure Flonne will fire beams of love and justice all over the Netherworld, and who needs that?
Finally, there are some new bills in the Assembly that unlock new, Post-Game stages, some of which you probably don’t have the Mana to see yet, let alone pay for. These represent the toughest challenges in Disgaea D2, with rewards to match, and will require extensive preparation if you expect to clear them.
