After you beat the Final Chapter, the Meet the President’s Son bill appears in the Dark Assembly for 2,000 Mana. It has no other prerequisites. If you get it to pass, it opens up a new destination at the Dimension Guide called Kid Death’s Lament, where you’ll find a weirdly bossy little kid.

The red Geo Panels that surround your base panel have a devil’s brew of DEF +50%, No Lifting, Ally Damage 50% and Super Encroach Geo Effects, but one character with a Gun can take them all out at once by destroying the Null Symbol. That greatly simplifies the fight, as now you can take your time and set up a perimeter, rather than having to run headlong into Emizel’s bodyguards before the Geo Panels kill you.
Emizel’s entourage includes three Mythril Knights with the Defender Evility, and unlike every other enemy unit in the game, they actually use the Defend command. As such, any attack you make on this stage is going to be intercepted by a Protect Action from a Mythril Knight before it reaches its intended target. Each Knight can Defend against up to three attacks per turn and they’re Defending, so they’ll take half damage even before their high DEF and RES kick in.
There are a couple of workarounds for this. One is to use as many area-of-effect attacks as possible in order to use up the Mythril Knights’ Protect Actions; another is to use a lot of Fire, because the Mythril Knights have a slight vulnerability to that element, and forcing them to intercept multiple Fire-based attacks will get them out of the way that much faster.
On the first enemy turn, the four Viper Fighters will rush your position, followed by the rest of Emizel’s team one turn later. Emizel is happy to come down to your level and mix things up with his unique Skills and spells, but the monsters and Hitmen will typically hang back and provide ranged support. Emizel can do a lot of damage on his own, but fortunately, he’s not inclined to take advantage of his Evility, and will instead spread out the damage among your characters with Skills like Delta of Death. Once you’ve dealt with the Mythril Knights and the threat of the Geo Panels, however, the fight isn’t anything special.
Map Events
- Position Etna next to Sicily.
- Have Laharl attack Emizel.
- Station Flonne in the panel next to Emizel.
Once you’ve defeated him, Emizel joins your crew. He’s a powerful offensive spellcaster against single targets due to his Concentration Evility, which makes him a great boss killer. Emizel is initially wearing a Robe of the Magi and carrying a Death Sickle, which is one of a handful of “joke” weapons in the game, complete with a unique Innocent. You can go to the Item World and pass a free bill in the Item Assembly to reskin any of your other Swords to look like the Sickle.
For defeating Emizel, you receive 50 extra CP for use at the Cheat Shop, and the maximum Obtain Rate goes up to 350%. You cannot revisit Netherpower Struggle once it’s been completed.
