Splatoon eGuide Zone 4

Stage 21: Unwelcome Flying Object

Another Octostriker overlooks this stage from the safety of his flying saucer, so don’t linger in any one spot for very long to avoid getting targeted with an Inkstrike. A small army of Octocopters and Octotroopers have established a blockade in the center of the stage. Grab the Inkzooka and open fire. The tornados of ink fired by the Inkzooka are perfect for clearing a path. The tornados of ink are even tall enough to take out the hovering Octocopters. But while firing, be on watch for an incoming Inkstrike—and be ready to move.

Two Octobombers block the launchpad leading to the flying saucer. Move quickly to get past these threats. Swim up the inked sponge and grab the Bomb Rush special. Immediately toss a Splat Bomb between the two Octobombers to take them out. If you hesitate here too long, an Inkstrike or Splat Bombs tossed by the Octobombers will cause the sponge to shrink. So it’s important to complete this attack quickly to avoid getting bogged down around the sponge.

Sunken Scroll

After taking out the two Octobombers by the launchpad, backtrack to this perimeter corridor—it’s guarded by another Octobomber. Rush the Octobomber and take him out. Just behind him is a crate containing the level’s Sunken Scroll.

When it’s time to take the fight to the Octostriker, consider using the Inkrail on the inside track of the flying saucer. The Inkrail allows you to rapidly charge the Octostriker. When you’re close, hop off the Inkrail and shoot up at the Octostriker until he explodes. During the fight, don’t neglect the Octotroopers on the perimeter of the flying saucer. But as long as you keep moving, they shouldn’t be much of a threat. Once the fight is over, retrieve the Zapfish from the center of the flying saucer.
